Rolex....opinions please.

i am soon planning to purchase a quality watch. I dress for the girls..I like the Ricky Martin style...Would like to hear opinions regarding choice of watch...I think we all agree that females are very aware of a guys watch..I am high on a rolex submariner (3500 us.) approx. I also would consider a Tag 6000 (2000 u.s.) approx. Nothung else seems to jump out at me. I am concerned about getting mugged with the Rolex on and also that chicks might think I am trying 'to hard' . ANY OPINIONS...anyone?

I find both a little to flashy with the gold and silver.
I own the Sea-Dweller, and I wear it all the time.
I think its a beautiful watch, but doesn't scream look at me.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments...the rolex submariner i have in mind is all steel. I agree the gold flash is just to much....I am very familiar with the Brietling. They are quality for sure....I would just hate to spend the bucks and 95% of the girls not even realize the status of it. Keep the comments coming..please

rolex is for old men in my opinion. rolex doesn't even feel good, the watches by them i have tried on didn't jump out at me at all. girls might think your rolex is fake and/or might not even appreciate it. i say go for something more younger like a tag or movado, both very good watch companies

Rolex is cool if it's real, not the gold ones though. Breitling is also very cool. But have you seen the new seiko kinetic?? I really like that one.

the most chic wathces

all those names mentioned above are ok but i personally feel my selections are the best:

The Cartier Tank Watch - Sporty, Rich, very European

or

Any watches from the Ebel company.

Much more grand and impressive, and more importantly not nearly as common as a Rolex or a Breitling...

Ebel is nice, but hardly rare, and only available in quartz in the U.S.
IMO, stick with a nice stainless steel Rolex, Breitling, or an Omega Seamaster. Just make sure that you're getting a good automatic movement if you're spending the bucks. A cheap quartz movement + an expensive case = waste of money.
