The guy is a peice of fucking trash.. he didnt deserve the LAPD style beating he got.. but he did deserve some kind of beating for being the dumb ass he, was and always will be.

You are 100% right. He didn't deserve to be struck 50 plus times with batons. He deserved to be treated like any other 250 pound drunk and drugged up adult male who was resisting arrest - AND SHOT TO FUCKING DEATH !!!

I do believe there are people (criminals) on this planet that really don't belong. One shot between his eyes would have been more humane than the beating. Unfortunately we have not evolved enough for that option to be acceptable. Had it not been for the video tape he would have been a footnote in the daily news.

if they'd have shot his retard-ass, the video would have been about 5 seconds long and there wouldn't have been anything to manipulate and there wouldn't have been a riot imho. . .

I am one of those California "cocksuckers" (don't read into that) and you my friend are missing the point. It's not about Rodney King, it was about police brutality. You can not tell me that the lapd was justified in the beating that man received while numerous fellow officers stood by and watched. He may be a low life, small time criminal, but he did not deserve that. What a slap in the face to the American people when they tried the officers in an all white community, with an 3/4 white jury, that lead to a non conviction. idk was 3 million dollars enough to clear our conscience? I remember that time in history well.

I totally agree.

It's amazing to think a random guy, in the right place at the right time; capturing an unbelievable sight on video, caused the death of many innocent people and millions of dollars in damage.
