Quick Question for all you HST'ers

Hey. I'm in the middle of an HST cycle right now. This week my schedule was messed up, so instead of lifting Monday, Wednesday, and Friday like planned, I had to lift Tuesday and Thursday.

My question is: would it be OK for me to lift again Friday? Or is that day of rest really that necessary? (Saturday isn't good for me either). So, right now, my options are Friday or Sunday. But, if I wait until Sunday, that will mess up next week's schedule.

Let me know what you guys think. (it would be great to hear from casualbb) Thanks!

I'd say if it's early in the minicycle (ie, the weights feel light), then go ahead and do it. Otherwise, skipping a day won't kill you.

Well, actually, today will be my last day of 10's....my maxes. I'm really leaning towards just doing it today, though. I'm not feeling beat up or tired or anything. I don't think missing that day of rest between yesterday and today will be that big of a problem.

Well you are the best judge of your own body. Personally, though, I think you need that day of rest to let your body recover and GROW, which is the point of HST. Then instead of skipping your 10 RM max, just skip the first workout with 5s, which is light anyway, and you'll be back on schedule.

That's a really good idea. I didn't want to skip the 10 rep max day. The first day of 5's is really light...so this will actually eliminate some of that overlap that I have. (First couple days of 5's are lighter than the last couple of days of 10's)
