1. Can the gear get contaminated by the coagulated blood?

2. Can I still use it for my next shot or should I trash it?

My big concern would be that you accidently inject the coagulated blood into a vein ...That could become troublesome...

Personally, I would toss it out...

Trash it, the blood is no longer sterile, not worth the risk of infection

Thanks for taking the time and responding with your valuable input!

Just for the record not that this make any difference, but I push the small (size of a tip of a pen) coagulated blood drop through the pin.

Then I drew the gear into a new syringe and put a new pin on. However, there are still very small (size of air bubbles) blood drops within the gear.

I will take your advice and trash the gear. I absolutely do not want to go through an infection again.

LOL, yeah I told her I would never touch gear after the wedding. So my current cycle is on the DL.
