Question for SoKlu regarding Crockpot Creations

So I put some diced beef (the kind they sell for beef stew), onoins, green pepper and cut up potatoes into my crockpot. I put a little bit of water in there. Was I supposed to do that? I wasnt sure how much water, if any, to put in there. Also, I put it on HIGH. Should I have put it on LOW instead?
 
You didn't sear the meat in a skillet first?

Any seasonings?
 
I make stew in a crockpot and cook it for 12 hours while I'm at work.

I use some canned veggies, e.g. corn and tomatoes, and the juices from the can is plenty water.

it's been over 2 hours now. my place smells so delicious I seriously dont want to leave and go to the gym for fear of missing out on the scrumptious smell
 
Next time brown the meat in a skillet for added beefy flavor and nice dark pieces of meat.

I'd throw some red wine in there, too.

put the various ingredients in, and simmer to a simmer and thats where the cockpot part comes in, stir with penis

start youre stew the night before for diner the next day.put the cooker on high with just water in it wate till it gets as hot as it can get then put it on warm.place youre meat and spices only in the pot.let it cook like this till mid day the next day.then put in the rest.and tern it up to low.let it cook for about 3 more hours.thinken it with istant mashed patato mix not flore and not corn starch cuz they tast like shit and change the hole flaver of the stew.
use instant mashed patatois to thinkin it and it will tast 1000x better.

the slower and longer you cook the maet the more flaver it will have and the more tender it will be.
I could give you a good recapy but who cares what I have to say I am dumb.

lintels are the shit.but not that grate for stews.leaveing lentels on all night terns them more into a pee soop then a stew.should have just left the meet on and thats it.

I can't stomach lentils.

However, my mother makes a similar dish with northern beans and ham....yum
 
Smurfy...i put it on high until it gets cooking and then put it to low...if your going to be gone all day leave it at low....as for water add some based on what you are trying to make...Gravy a little... soup more..You don't have to stir unless you want to
