question about these people selling new shit on eBay.

as you know, I bought that brand new Dell computer for a tad over $300. Ok, this baby was BRAND NEW!! I go to Dell's website and just click on the same model and add all the options/features that this one has and it comes out over $800 on their site. And that doesn't include shipping or the 4 week waiting time for delivery. (I paid for this on Tuesday and got it Fedex'd that Friday).

Ok, how do people manage to get shit like this new and cheaper than the own company? You see it all the time with treadmills, digital cams, MP3 players, etc.. etc.. etc... And it is NOT refurbished equipment either, although some people are selling that even cheaper.

How do they do this?

On a side note, when I went to Bestbuy and purchased that one gig of memory stick for the computer, it was $149. The company I bought the computer from sends me their online goodie list yesterday and the EXACT same memory chip - same 1 gig, same manufactor, same box, same everything - is only $59

Damn AAP.. who the hell was the seller? I'm looking at getting a new one also.. hook a sista up

I bet with a some special online codes and coupons from dell you could have gotten that $600 down to the $300 you paid for it. They know most people won't take the time to find the codes and coupons. So I doubt it was really a stolen computer just probably sold at close to manufactures price with very little mark-up.

I love the guys who are selling Linksys Wireless hook-ups now. They all got that stuff for free because of the Cisco rebate last month...

Now EBAY is flooded with cheap Linksys systems

NO its not stolen or refurbished....Best Buy and all other large Chain stores have up to 300% mark up on office equipment and computer equip. I was in the business for 5yrs. People on ebay selling the items you speak of are making a mear 5-10$ profit on each item sold...But keep in mind they sell over 100 items a day on that site...which added up is a pretty good profit.
