Question about flat bench and inclined bench?

i think doing declines would add in your strength more then inclines, since you should be able to bench more in the decline position then the flat bench and incline. plus it will get your body used to handling heavier weights when you go back to the flat bench if that makes sense.

The simple answer is yes. Getting your chest, triceps and front deltoids stronger will increase your flat bench. However, I suggest working your flat bench in order to lift heavier on the flat bench.

I use it as ME movement, my flat bench increases with my incline. I personally suck at them and don't like to do it, sorta like floor presses but everythings been moving up lately so just keep at it.

Variety is the spice of life....

yea i beleive in westside methods all the way, all of the variations will increase your lifts. if your shoulders are a weak point then incline definately helps. also close grip incline is killer to.
