Question about bullets and the law...

me and a few bros were talking about guns and pussy, you know normal guy stuff.

Anyway I have a Beretta 9 mm (fuck off 9mm haters) and I have two clips and I keep them full of hollow points.

one guy kept telling me over and over that I'll go to jail if I ever shot an intruder since I used hollow points.

Something about intent to kill, no fuckin shit I intend to shoot and kill an intruder in my home.

What do they expect, me to buy them an ice cream??

Any truth to this?

your friend is probably full of shit, but each state is different and some states have really fucked up laws. check your state laws (i seriously doubt there is a law on this) and then tell your friend where to shove it.

want to ensure that you won't go to jail? get some non-lethal rounds. hit your intruder with one of them first. if they keep coming at you, fill 'em with hollow points. problem solved. you tried to defend yourself with a non-lethal round first, but your intruder didn't stop, so then you HAD to kill.

damn, i hope i actually never have to do that, but i won't hesistate if it means my life or my kids.

Screw that, I wouldn't want to take the chance.

I'm in Texas, usually laws are pretty relaxed when it comes to defending your home here.

But it's not the 1st time I've heard that though.

If you have an intruder and you're going to shot at them, do it only at night. In civil law he'll win if you shot during the day.

Not sure if you'd be found guilty in criminal court but in civil he'd win if it happened during the day.

lol you better not just wound the intruder or hit him in the back! If you want to be safe you have to get him with one kill shot otherwise you will just be asking for trouble depending on the politics in the DA's office in your area!

But if you have anything illegal that you use for the kill shot it's only asking for trouble, but if he is armed you really don't have a choice in the matter but if he is not you have to be carefull in your actions!

the non-lethal rounds are interesting though. wouldn't mind picking up some bean bag rounds for the 12 gauge. could fuck someone up with one of them. it's a good self-defense if you want to avoid killing someone, yet hurt them, and then be able to beat the fucking shit out of them afterwards for breaking into your house, which is what i'd probably want to do

an unarmed intruder would probably shit once they heard the *CLACK CLACK* of the 12 gauge or the *CLICK CLICK* of the makarov.

let's just put it this way....i hope i never have to do it. if i do, instinct will kick in and i'll do whatever comes naturally, which, yes, you are right, would probably land me in jail, but at least i'd be alive.

Actually I had this one friend whos uncle or some shit was an ex cop telling us all kinds of shit.

like making an unarmed intruder pick up a screw driver and raise it over their head, then shooting them. Forensics and all.

Unless you're in NJ, it's total BS. Hollow points should be mandatory for CCW. Imagine shooting an intruder with a FMJ and then the bullet hits someone outside ?

I always carry Ranger SXT 147gr (9mm).
