quest to get rid of chest fat

podium123456 said:
a.k.a. man boobs... 6'2" 175 lbs 28 years old. ok have been working out off and on since 17 years old, and can not get rid of these man boobs and love handles ( was pretty porky until I shot up around 13, guess these areas are holding on and/or just my natural build). will usually work out hardcore for 4 or 5 months (with cardio) and get frustrated because chest is still fatty and stop.

soooo here's pretty much my last attempt to get "beach ready" before considering having a doctor suck out the fat or something... every time i have worked out previously i lift as heavy as i can in my chest reps..., so now my plan is to try the ole "low weight, high rep to tone" routine. i plan on going heavy as usual with every other area of my body, but to do 4 sets of 15 or 20 reps on my chest exercises. (trust me, not worried about size of chest lagging behind other areas... plenty of room there). my resoning is that lifting heavy makes the muscles bigger, which makes the fat more apparent. anybody think this method will produce the desired result? should i do daily push ups, or scrap those as well? Thanks for any response!

p.s. also ordered some yohimurn es and am squirting two shots on each side before cardio to help

Get rid of whatever your non-water beverages of choice are. That tends to help people a TON. (ie soda, whole milk, sweet tea, capuccino) don't even drink diet soda. Replace it with WATER. Water owns. water is the best. I love water! DRINK gurgle gurgle gurgle

at 6ft2 178 pounds its hard to believe you got a fat problem i would deff eat clean but not reduce calories i would concentrate more on your training, continue to go heavy and and more exersices in there besides jus bench like weighted dips and so on......i dont think buliding muscel will make you look fater at all

I have the same problem u do, but im 5'8" 158. Diet diden't really help much at one time i weighed 95 lbs. and i still had love handles and and alot of fat over my abs and on my pecs. It's harder to notice my pecs as much now because theres alot more muscle there which spreads the fat out. My 6 upper abs aren't too bad looking and my love handles don't look as bad as they did. The only reason all of it looks better is just because im bigger than i was before. It would take a lot for me too get all the fat to go away so i just decided to bulk again and lift heavy and gain size and it has actually helped. When u gain muscle the fat is alot less noticable, but im at 12% bf i don't know what ur at.

Im kinda in the same boat, for the last month diet has been solid and have been doing regular cardio and lifting, hopefully in the next couple months theres some solid change

I'm in the chest fat boat. With me, it's definately something to do with puberty and hormones.

If that's the case, here's what I do:

Besides dieting, which doesn't get all the chest fat to go away... I found that heavy dips, declines, and flies help to shape the chest in way that the chest fat appears unnoticeable to the untrained eye (ie. if you weren't looking for chest fat, you'd never know). I do those exercises as a normal part of my routine in addition to flat bench.
