Proteinuria had to cut cycle short

Kidneys filter the protein, sometimes dietary or globular protein leaks through when it isnt supposed to, this can be from several reasons.
Lanky is a dudes name, he posted in this thread.

Hepatic or renal problems= lower protein intake needed (damn near zero in some hepatic conditions....liver cant transdeaminiate the proteins properly).
Serum creatinine levels? I think its your protein intake, post the numbers of the blood/urine work, we need to see what else is going on there.

I was supposed to see a nephrologist today but it got postponed. I spoke with a general doctor again today as this doctor was the one that could refer me to a nephrologist. My blood work came back almost normal except my cholesterol was LDL 380 and my HDL was down to about 29. My blood as far creatine levels are normal range what i dont have enough of in the body is a particular protien i dont know the name starts with an "A". this particular protien helps prevent you from retaining water. Because i dont have enough of this protien and its coming out of my urine all the time, i am retaining too much water and inturn the water is going into my soft tissue like an edema patient would have. The doctor told me that my kidneys according to the blood work are functioning fine and there is no immediate danger but i am scheduled to see a nephrologist (kidney doctor) on Monday, hopefully he can give me something to help my kidneys get rid of this water. The doctor also mentioned that as the AAS is leaving my body my i should come back to equilibrium.

It was actually funny cause the nurses i spoke with asked why i was retaining water and when i told the two ladies who were very hott might i add they were all intregued and asked if they could feel my arm haha. Then when they took my blood pressure they were like i have never put a BP cuff on an arm so big hahaha it was so funny i was eating it all up. The doctor on the other hand didnt even know normal people can get steriods, she thought only professional atheletes can obtain it. Anyway i will fill you in on what happens with the nephrologist as soon as i get an answer.

yes liver check as well....liver damage can lead to reduced glubular protein (albumin) production

According to my blood test my liver is fine. What is happening is that i am urinating all of the protien or albumin i am acctually difficient in that according to my blood test, because the kidneys are not retaining it. I will update you guys as soon as i get a nephrologist to check me out which should be next week or something like that.

Your not pissing blood either?

If you are peeing out too much albumin/protein, it doesnt sound like the actual filter of the kidneys (glomerulous) is working properly or is damaged. usually proteins are too large to pass through.

Keep us informed.

Okay i got an update for anyone who was interested on what the nephrologist said. Basically i was diagnosed with Nephrotic syndrome. The syndrome means that it is a bunch of bad things that come together to cause one problem. Symptoms for what i have are foamy urine (because of the protien), Edema especially in the abdomen and lower legs, and headaches. My kidney function is fine besides the protienuria that i am experiencing. The doctor says i should respond to the treatment just fine. The cause of this was exposure to drugs or AAS. He also said that my glomerli should heal up just fine with the treatment he gave. The medicine he gave me is basically a cortisteroid which will help out the Edema that i am experiencing quite abit. Also he prescribed me some cholestorol pills, and he prescribed me an ACE inhibitor which will help my glomeri, and help bring my BP down as well. With all of this i am taking i hope to be back to normal by the next two weeks. Anyway just thought i would update on this i will keep this updated as to how my recovery goes. If you got questions ask.
