Protein Synthesis

There isn't a single study showing that we can only digest 35g of protein in one sitting. The food simply sits in your intestines and slowly gets digested. It doesn't matter whether it's 10g of protein or 100g... ultimately, it all gets digested.

I think i actually meant assimulate instead of digest.

The definition of assimilate: To consume and incorporate (nutrients) into the body after digestion.

Quite untrue Azul. Your body can only make use of nutrients at a certain rate. Otherwise, why do you think laxative abuse would help people stay thin? If you eat 100grams of protein at one sitting, it will be through your small intestine before your body can manage to digest it all, you'll simply crap out the rest that you couldn't digest in time. Laxatives work this way for bulemics, they increase gastric motility so the food they eat doesn't stay in the digestive tract as long, hence fewer of the calories they eat are actually absorbed. If you eat too much food at once, your body will not absorb it all and will get rid of what it couldn't digest in time. While I agree that the upper limit is probably more than 35g per sitting, especially for us bbers on gear, there is indeed an upper limit.

There is no basis for suggesting that we can only assimilate 30 or 40 or 50 grams of protein in one meal. I have yet to see a study showing that after a certain amount, the protein will just be excreted. I agree that if you eat 100g of protein, a bit of that might not be absorbed, but I will stick to my argument that as long as you're not eating excessive amounts, most of the 50 or 60 or 70g will be assimilated, sooner or later.

The average person's body can assimulate 35g's of protein at one time. I know AAS increases this ammount by how much. Just curious because my protein shake takes 4 scoops and gives 56 g's of protein. i like to take it all at one time with 12 ounces of milk this is a total of about 65 g's of protein. On compounds like Test and Deca would any protein b wasted? thanx (the protein in N-Large 2)

I try to use a blend of different kinds of protein. So I can still consume 60-70 grams at a time. Whey is obviously the fastest so only 30 grams or so is all my body can handle. The others cassein, soy, egg, seem to be slower. Which is perfect for bed time. I also eat cottage cheese before bed sometimes.

I also notice if I consume whey halfway through my workout, I shit like a fucking duck. Nice and soft though. Especially with Isopure. That stuff is extremely fast. If I put a dip of chew in and drink ISO, I'm fucked on the drive home.

I use to take 10 mg dbol at every meal time and i cant get lower then 60 g of protein : 30 from solid meal like steak + 30 from whey powder . If i go lower i dont feel good neither results r ok.
So i have only 3 meals per day of minimum 60 g protein ( sometimes even 70g or 80g )
this is the way it works good 4 me.

Some of you are forgetting a VERY IMPORTANT point though...

Excessive calories intaken (even in ALL PROTEIN) will not be simply just be "excreted"...The more likely scenario is that the body will turn it into adispose tissue and store is as FAT :(So taking in excessive macronutrients (whether they are carbs, fats, or protein) they run a HIGH likelihood being stored as fat :(, IF takne in abundance at each meal...

i agree but it depends too on what substance ur runing i guess , metabolism and calories consumed in activity , so everyone should fix the serving size acording with his situation, 4 me 35g is way too low for a meal with 10 dbol
