consume it, right after mixing it. or, can you let it sit a while

i was thinking of making like 7 shakes at once. but, keeping 6 in the fridge for the rest of the week. will it still be effective? is there a difference?

Within a couple of hours, it wouldn't make a difference but I wouldn't leave a shake in the fridge for 5 days. I tried this once and after 4 days it didn't taste very pleasant anymore.

i was thinking 2-3 days, but my main concern was if it lost any effectiveness(protein,carbs,l-glut)

I hear you. I would think it could have some adverse effects. Remember that creatine can turn to poison if it sits in liquid for a certain period of time. Protein shakes are certainly a different product, but the same rules could still apply. I wouldn't risk it, you could possibly lose some effectiveness and be wasting your time.

Just dont be lazy and make the shakes everyday :)

Creatine certainly does not turn to poison...it turns into creatinine, a natural metabolite of creatine. You've got plenty of it in your system...it just doesn't do anything for you. If it was poison, all of those companies making liquid creatine syrums would be getting sued for poisoning people.

The only danger with letting protein drinks sit around would be bacterial growth. Whey protein is just highly processed milk. It should be fine if you keep it sealed up in the refrigerator.

That said, if you don't have 5 minutes to mix up a protein shake, how do you have time to work out?

i have the time. just figured while i'm at it why not make more. i'm freakin lazy when it comes to shit like that

thanx for the info everbody
