Protein Powder prices..

I am a college student and looking for the cheapest proteins. I compared the following 5 pounds tubs.

BuyBulkWay is 0.10 per protein gram. (Shockingly, this is the most expensive)

Protein Factory's Prenium Whey is 0.09 $ per one protein gram.

Needto's whey protein is 0.07$ per one protein gram.

I was shocked, In my mind, I thought that BuyBulkWay is the cheapest and Needto was the most expensive.

What do you think? I think needto's protein would be most convenient price wise/ quality wise. I also made a program using FORTRAN to calculate the price per gram ;).
 
Optimum Nutrition Whey, 10lbs for about $85 shipped on ebay from fennimorefitness. 145-150 servings at 24g per serving. Less than $.025 per gram of Protein calculating 145 servings.

the whey to build muscle line is great tasting and over all a good shake. it is a great value. its main protein is whey concentrate which isnt the greatest form of whey. but just behing the concentrate is the isolate. isolate is the best. this is now the only protein powder i use. i turn the shake into a complete high quality meal by adding milk, egg, berries, and oats to the shake. my personal favorite flavor is vanilla nut.
 
Optimum 10 pounds bag is 0.0839$ per one gram of protein :D, awesome price. I always thought that bulk whey would be cheaper it is shocking to discover that it is the most expensive!!

If you want to talk about pricing the proteins and having them delivered also factor in that Needtobuildmuscle not only has good pricing, and great flavors, but the shipping is also amazing. What other company do you know of that will give you free shipping using 3 day priority mail??

This is alot like what I do. I take needtos protein and add to them and can make a meal replacement, pwo shake. Whatever I need. Just add something different to the shake to suit what I need.

Nighttime I do the same, but with a slower release protein like casein.

did you also factor in that all other places will charge anywhere from 7 all the way up to 12.00 to ship a 5lb bag of protein. And that is just to ship it ground (snail mail). I charge 00000000000000000000 to ship it and i ship it 2-3 day priority shipping.

Just checked ur store needto, no vanilla flavor. My main use of whey protein is as meal replacement. I mix it with milk/berries...etc. Vanilla can be mixed with everything.
 
Damn, I just calculated the costs after the discount and everything. Your price kicks ass!! Too bad no vanilla. oh well, I still have the samples that you sent me from previous order. Time to try them. Gonna get with them N2kts. Hmmmm... GEAR VS NEED2SLIN when bulking?
 
Real simple.

ON is a decent cheap protein that if you want to pick something up at Vitamin Shoppe it's a reasonable choice. But needto's protein is better , about the same price and you get direct customer service. Also, needto has GEAR and that is the best protein product on the market. Even if you use a standard protein powder you can jack it up big time by taking a few GEAR along with it.

If you want a really SUPERIOR protein powder, nothing beats BIG BLAST. It's in a league of its own and of course, it costs a little more. But if you get it through ORBIT you'll get a price that is just a couple of bucks more than ON protein and the difference is night and day. It's a like comparing a BMW to a lawn mower. So why would anyone order cheap protein when they can get something special?

By the way, Orbit....did that CInnamon Roll BIG BLAST come in yet?!!!
 
needtobuildmuscle.com 's cinnamon bun protein is the best tasting protein i've had, by far. Three shakes a day minimum!!!

It is very good. It's one of those flavors that goes down so easily. For BIG BLAST users it's another option. I like having different flavors on hand so not to get burnt out on any one. Between the chocolate, banana, strawberry, Tropical orange, Fruit punch and now CInnamon Roll, I can have 2 shakes a day and not get tired of any of them.

I love tropical orange BB, and I'm anxious to try the cinnamon roll. I'm sure it will be great too.

I just updated and put vanilla back in stock. Something my secretary told me she had don but did not do!!!!

So I hope I did not lose to many sales from that but its now back in stock. And yes with the discount and the free shipping my price on protein is dirt cheap. On top of that it taste bomb.

Get your self some big blast and gear. Then some of my dirt cheap wtbm and you got all your protein needs for the day covered. Add in some muscle replenisher post work out, some better protein bars, and now some of my new protein trail mix and if you cant get in 300-400g of protein a day there is something wrong with you..

With protein powders I would go by quality over price.
You get what you pay for with protein powder.

Exactly. And since between Orbit and needto you're going to get the best price on the best stuff, you're covered. If you find a better price on GEAR or BIG BLAST anywhere else, go for it. But I don't think you will.

Quality doesent matter aslong as I am getting something decent. Whey protein is a whey protein. The only diffrence is how your gut reacts to it. But in terms of gains, it doesent make that diffrence. ( I am talking about whey concentrate VS Isolate). So I'd rather go with the cheaper one. I am still wondering if GEAR would be that awesome or some, it seems to me it is just a big blast on pill form?

That statement makes no sense. Whey concentrate is actually only 73% useable protein. So you're essentially saying that 73 grams of protein is the same as 100 grams of protein.

And Plasma serum and hydrolyzed require no digestion they're far more usable. So you're saying that a protein that is entirely absorbed is no better than a protein that is partially absorbed.

I agree, sometimes the differences can be overstated. And in the past they were, but with the advancements made in the last few years I can unequivocally say there's quite a big difference.

Using whey protein + few caps of gear will make the whey protein more usable right? Because GEAR has digestive enzymes and other compounds that makes protein more digestible and absorbable?

So if I buy GEAR + Whey concentrate and take them together, it will make me use more of the whey concentrate. Correct?

That's actually a really good way to use it. Using GEAR is like knocking up the octane of standard protein.
 
I need some, I've been using walmart brand for about a year now, I was thinking it was the way to go until I seen some of these post.
 
I like the Rocky Road flavor. It is slightly malted so it's not that twisted chocolate taste that so many pproteins powders have. The strawberry reminds me of Strawberry quick from when I was a kid.
 
the price of protein has gone up all over the industry.. But wheytobuildmuscle protein price has not gone up a dime.. Needtobuildmuscle.com sells the cheapest protein in the whole industry right now. Needto139 takes of 15% and keep in mind the shipping is free. True protein and other places will charge you has much as 13.00 to ship a 5lb bag of protein.
 
So many proteins to choose from now days. You have to go through trial and error but Gaspair's Myofusion is usually afforadable and taste amazing. OrbitNutrition.com sells it for a low price and among other's as well.
