Prepping for the APF Gulf Coast States in Houston

I gained some weight so I had to buy a bigger one. Now I have a 60 and a 62. I'm thinking about trying the 60 when I go for 600 in May.

It works great. It is alot like denim, I think. I actually got crushed under 500 during warmups because I got out of the groove. That pissed me off enough to make me RUIN 550...

I'm getting the bash bencher... Supposedly it has a wider groove and you can touch lighter weights, I'm just concerned cuz the arms are supposedly longer and I got short fat arms...

I'll tell you what, I've tried a lot of shirts and by all means, I think Metal is the best even though they wouldn't warranty my shirt.... We did 8 sets last week at 315 and above and friggin some bruising but not much, my partner had on my Titan and was friggin screamin....

It didn't take me long to learn the Viking, even with a low groove. I would like to try another Metal shirt. I tried to buy a Bash, but they didn't have my size in stock prior to the last comp... My partner wears a Rage X and that thing tears him up. I don't get much bruising.

I am doing bench today. I wear a big Titan Fury single for lighter work; hopefully the elbows hold up today and I'll use it for 455. Can't touch it in the VIking.

I wear a Metal Pro Squatter that is brutal. I have a long torso so the straps kill me.

Yeah man,you put up some good numbers at the meet-I just pulled in that meet because of some shoulder issues.Are you doing the APF meet there in May?I'm going to pull in Tiny's meet in April and hopefully do the full 3 lift meet in May at Sam Houston.

I was going to do the Summer Bash, but I think the Lackland AFB on 19 May will be a good one. Plus I get an extra week of training, which I need. I'd really like to hit elite on this meet.
