Possible Infection???

Hey there. So I've been doing my 2.5ml shot of sus/eq/deca every 3 days for 6 weeks now, alternating left/right glute each time so hitting the same spot once every 6 days. No probs up until my last shot. I went in, aspirated and got a pink gooey substance come into the syringe, so I pulled out and went in again about 1cm across, aspirated and got nothing so injected. Problem is my ass was still a bit sore from the shot a week before and now its quite painful. So this morning I decided to remove the pink goo in an attempt to ease whatever was going on in there, so I went in the same spot I got the goo from the first time, and pulled back on the plunger. Sure enough more pink goo, i removed about 1.5ml of the stuff. Now my ass is really hurting! Question is this:

Is it likely to be a sterile infection?

Or is it just truama from all the pins going in that spot?

Is the skin hot and irritated around that site? It could be a sterile abscess but i don't think you want to drain those.

Just pay the co-pay and hit up the doc

Dude don't hit the same spot ... Move it arount, spread it out... Of course your are having those problems. You may have even introduced a germ into an already heling area and weekend it even more... Always give yourself a fresh chance, STAFF INFECTIONS are SERIOUS BUSINESS leaving NASTY scares and tissue damage usually...

1) if I must say it, don't hit that spot anymore for a good while.
2) if there is some puss, use peroxide and work on draining it.
3) and if your worried it's already pretty bad - see a Dr.

Ok there's no redness on the skin, no signs of anything from the outside, just really sore glute on the inside. By the way the pink goo didn't smell of anything other than the oil that went in.

I inject e4d and I add a quad inject day between my glutes, so it's more like e12d for each glute. e6d seems like you're pushing it. i would stay away from that area for a little while. and for gods sakes, stop poking around

Yeah was gonna give quads a go this time, never done anything but glutes before, apart from a few winny shots in the delt about a year ago. My delts certainly aint big enough yet to take 2.5ml though!! So gonna hit my thigh this week. Do you thing the muscle pain is most likely to be from all the "poking around" rather than infection? I hope so, it just feels like i've been kicked really hard in the ass!

Yup, move your injection sites about - spread the love.

I inject 3 ml every mon weds fri. Left ass, right ass and then 1.5ml in each quad. Every now and then I'll stick my delts, tris or bis just to give the other sites a rest and, so far, so good.

try spreading like half of your shot in each delt between glute shots to ensure the last knots are all the way gone instead of putting yourself through so much pain.

Ok I get the whole moving around thing, thanks. I'm waiting a call back now from our National Health Service Direct helpline to discuss the matter and see if I need to go to the Docs for some antibiotics!
