Popped blood vessels bad?

I got some pretty bad marks on my traps and delts from the bar after my squat/leg session. I asked someone at the gym what happened and he said it was just popped blood vessels. I searched the forum but couldnt find anything.. and I was just wonderin if this is a bad thing? will it make it worse if i continue to squat? I even used the bar cushon but it still let dark purple marks on my traps. I appreciate anyones help. thanks

im not on aas and i get them as well, nothing to worry about. to make it a bit more comfortable try wrapping your towl over the cushion as well ;) works great for me!

give me a break, they are just a couple of broken capillaries. suck it up, and i gaurentee you, couple more weeks of squatting and they will cease to appear.

You will develop what I have deemed the "Man Mark." On the vertebrae at the base of your neck, you will eventually scar your skin on a microscopic level enough to darken the skin there.
If you would not take pleasure in sporting a "Man Mark," as I do, then wrap the bar in a towel or pad.
The only time you will burst a blood vessel in the gym, hopefully, will be one in your eye. Last time I squatted 500, I did so, and it went away in a week.
You don't have anything to worry about.

Bar shouldn't be on your spine or on your neck. The bar rests across my traps and when I squat HEAVY and my bar is ROUGH it tears a good deal of skin off.
