Well the teacher responded properly by getting rid of the kid.........that shit has to be stamped on. However, the counsellor sounds like a retard. It is her job to get through to kids.......she didnt get the job done. The police........well I owulda done the same lol. Scare the shit out of the bastard and maybe he'll think twice before assaulting a student next time.

This seems to be a disturbing trend among schools. They use the police to enforce discipline. We had a case here where a 12 year old threatened to hit the principal. What did the principal do? He called the cops! Over a 12 year old! I could maybe understand if it was a 250 lb high school kid, but a 12 year old? How can any of the other kids have respect for his authority now? I hate to sound like a grumpy old man, but when I was 12 years old, the principal was someone who was feared by kids.

Shameful and illegal. You don't call the cops because an 8 year old is crying and throwing a tantrum. If you can't reason with him, you call his parents to take him home until he can act properly. Call the cops and put him in a jail cell? Fucking disgraceful.
