Please help! My Bloodwork is terrible!

Hi. I work in Vascular Medicine, but here it goes:

Do you show any signs of jaundice (yellowing in the corner of your eyes)?

Hormones such as AS are metabolized in the liver. Long term abuse can alter your own hormone imbalances.

The liver plays important roles in hormonal modification and inactivation, chronic liver disease may cause hormonal imbalances. For example, the masculinizing hormone testosterone and the feminizing hormone estrogen are metabolized and inactivated by the liver. Men with cirrhosis, especially those who abuse alcohol, have increased circulating estrogens relative to testosterone derivatives, which may lead to body feminization.

You may want to consider coming off of the AS for 4-6 months until your liver enzymes fall back to normal. The liver is remarkeable in that it can regenerate itself better than any other organ in the body, however, you do not want to leave permanent scarring of the liver (cirrhosis) which could alter your body's ability to process vitamins/minerals/proteins etc for life.

Actual Hepatic Functions are as follows:

AST (Serum Glutamic-Oxalocetic Transaminase - SGOT ) - found primarily in the liver, heart, kidney, pancreas, and muscles. Seen in tissue damage, especially heart and live
Normal Adult Range: 0 - 42 U/L
Optimal Adult Reading: 21

ALT (Serum Glutamic-Pyruvic Transaminase - SGPT) - Decreased SGPT in combination with increased cholesterol levels is seen in cases of a congested liver. We also see increased levels in mononucleosis, alcoholism, liver damage, kidney infection, chemical pollutants or myocardial infarction
Normal Adult Range: 0 - 48 U/L
Optimal Adult Reading: 24

Hope this helps!

Geoff

Karma is always welcome if this helps you out!

Did you have the liver function test before starting your cycle? You may have been out of wack before your cycle. It is always a good idea to have a complete blood workup before stating AS so you have a baseline. It is possible that you are a type of person that may just have trouble metabolizing AS. As someone that works in medicine, I would strongly recommend stopping your cycle for 4-6 weeks and have a another test done at that point to see if has come down. You have a lot of time in your life to do a cycle, but only once if you destroy a liver. Good luck!

Geoff

I had a person tell me earlier: "How can you tell the difference between muscle fiber damage, and liver damage?" You can't by just taking the AST & ALT test. You have to take a GGT test to determine if your liver is truly stressed/damaged. He said that a bodybuilders liver values will be higher than a normal persons because of the constant training that we put our bodies through. Therefore the tests will come back high with these two tests. I don't care if my insurance doesn't cover the GGT test or not, but im going to go ahead and take it anyways. I believe this guy.........very much so. I hope that he is right. What do you all think about this? Thanks

Of course your value will be out of whack while on a cycle. The real question is where are they 8-10 weeks after your cycle is over. If they return to normal then you're good to go.
You definitely need to up the protective measures...Tyler's, r-ala, milk thistle.

Your AST and ALT numbers are elevated from 100 to 500%. While there are problems with relying on just these two tests (degree of ALT elevation isnt directly related to degree of damage, and AST is non-specific to the liver) those still seem like fairly significant elevations. Years ago, when I would drink (frequently and A LOT) my LFT were on the order of AST: 120, ALT: 80, GGT: 110 and I assume drinking was harder on me than lifting is. My doc at that time told me elevations of 100% or more were indicative of significant stress or possibly the start of drug induced hepatitis and 400% of more is where "we tend to see pathology". Which I assume is scaring.

You need a test that covers GGT as well, but I bet that will come back elevated too. You doc may already have numbers for GGT, alkaline phosphatase, total bilirubin, and albumin from the last test all of which are liver related. The tests aren't expensive as I order them on line all the time ($35).

I really do recommend the Tyler's Liver Detox. You are also on 12wk of 17AA's. Why don't you just drop the winny that after your 5wk of dbol is probably your problem...

Ouch! I missed that. I wouldn't do orals for more than 4-5 weeks unless it was anavar, which I wouldn't spend the money.

I just found out from my doctor my recent blood test, and he told me that i had to stop taking AAS or else i could develop cirrohisis of the liver (spelling?). I thought this was a little far off, but i needed you guys experience in this. Here are my test results:

Free Testosterone 2990
Normal is 950

Other testosterone test 176
Normal is 30

Liver AST - 239
Normal - 40

Liver ALT - 102
Normal - 50

Now, this seems to be terrible, and my doctor had me freaking out on the phone telling me I have to stop taking AAS and to come back in 4 weeks for a follow up test. I had a fucking panic attack for Gods sake!

Here is what I have taken since i started my cycle June 1st:

week 1-5 Dbol @ 30mg-40mg day
week 1-10 sustanon 750mg week
week 6-12 winny v @ 50mg day
week 6-12 fina @ 75mg EOD

I have been supplementing with Liverite for my liver, but i guess that didnt help eh? Im taking tons of vitamins, minerals, ect also. Can you guys give me some help! Are the tests really that terrible? Thank you for the help.

Forget about the testosterone tests....of course one is going to be sky-high.......you're on 750mg/week Sustanon....duh. :)

Your liver tests are quite worrisome.

They are no doubt caused by the winny and dball.

I'm assuming from your responses that you don't take any type of ancilliaries. ONES that actually work? Liverite = SHIT. No offense.

Your liver has no doubt incurred damage by now.

And you're at 6.6% so????

Are you derranged or something........your health is FAR MORE important that your BF%.

Drop the 17-aa's ASAP and start r-ala at 600mg/dat and Tylers at 6 caps/day ASAP.

I can tell you from long time experience and research that your liver will take a good 2-3 months to fully heal.

I hope you learn a lesson here.......HEALTH > Looking good

And its not cirrhosis...thats caused by alcoholism...long term and signifies > 75% of your liver is essentially necrotic(dead). He was talking about Hepatitis.

If Fukkenshredded is around he can give you a good talking-to. Because no offense, you need it.

You could end the cycle and hop on the lifecycle next to Tom Prince.
