I am putting this post in the AAS forums because my goal is to get back on the juice, but I have the sense to know steroids aren't going to help me with my current fitness level. I would really appreciate any strategies that you professionals use as professional quality physique is what my goal is.
Age: 29
weight: 265lbs
height: 6'2"
I have done a few cycles and had a great physique so the potential is there. Haven't been"on" for 4 years.
cycle#1 Dianabol 40mg/day 6 weeks,500mg test e 10 weeks +25bs
Cycle#2 2 grams tren/75mg eod bout 6 weeks, T3 bout same timespan
cycle#3 500mg test e 10 weeks
cycle#4 500mg test e 10 weeks
I'm just starting to train hardcore 90min morning 90min evening
My main problem is my diet. Do any of you guys have any proven way that might help my keep my diet a bit more controlled?

"this is the exact amount of cals I take in each day. this is the exact amount of protein, carbs, and fat in grams a take in each day. I know this because I keep track of it to a T and have done so for months now.
Well then come back in 3-4 months when you have this information. Why? well you could try to move forward and get advice but more then likely any advice you get will be sub par."

The above information seems too difficult. How do you guys keep track of all this stuff? Thanks a Lot.

the simplest way is to take pics of EVERYTHING you eat and post them online. DONT CHEAT. DONT LIE. Take pics of everything and you will know exactly what is going on.

Bro no body said this was going to be easy. Really if you aren't able to be dedicated enough to track your cals and macro's because it is to hard then the future is bleak. There are several online and phone apps that you can enter what you eat and they will keep track for you. Once you get used to it you can almost do it without thinking. I want to see you succeed bro but you have to be willing to put in the time and effort to do so and part of that is tracking your food just like you would your training.

track your calories at fitday.com thats what most of us do.. it will take u a few mins ed.. but you will know how much you are eating and when to make adjustments

also if you really learn about nutrtion you dont even have to track. just cut out simple carbs, grains, and cheat meals. Eat a lot of fruit, veggies and lean protein. if you stick to that you will be good to go.

Tom , has good advice here. If I were you, I would buy a book on nutrition and study our diet section of the forums to improve your knowledge of proteins and carbohydrates and to see specifically how there consumption effects your metabolism

bro, I AM GOING TO DO IT! it's not the motivation im lacking, it's just that I need to find a system that works for me. Nelson Montana recommended The bodybuilding Truth and Bottomline Bodybuilding. I already have bought both those ebooks years ago. Guess I should take another look at them Nelson Montana has a reputation for being right.

yeah that was my old method, but as I get older, I need to be more strict with my diet. I need to count grams of protein, carbs, and all that other shit that the pros do.

you really dont have to count or measure or do anything if you just eat good foods and train hard. Yeah it will help but that is not the biggest part of the problem.

Right now if I asked you what you ate the last 3 days how many "cheat" or Bad or unhealthy meals would be in there? be honest. If it is over 2 you need to get it down to 1 bad meal every 3 days.. then work on making it 1 every 5 then 1 every 7 if you are doing that you will see improvements. once you are around 9% bf then we can start tracking every cal, carb, pro determine what time of day each should be eaten, what your sleep schedule should be. what time of day to train etc etc

but for now focus on the basics. EAT HEALTHY TRAIN HARD 100% NO EXCUSES

Im going to disagree here in part. The reason being many people fail to gain mass because they simply dont eat enough. If your going through the trouble of cleaning up your diet why wouldnt you just take the next step and measure food and calculate macronutrients?

It becomes increasingly important to know exactly what your putting in your body if you are both trying to gain mass and lose fat. Its more difficult than just cutting or bulking but can be done. The window in which you need to be in for food consumption however is generally pretty small. Eat to much you dont lose fat. Eat too little you dont gain strength and/or over train within a few weeks.

I think tracking what you eat and going through the steps of weighing and measuring things helps you learn whats works best for you and you have raw data to back it up. After some time of doing this you learn to be able to eyeball portions with ease and can cut out the weighing and measuring but for those just starting and taking things serious I feel its required learning material.

You are right of course. The more you track the better. I am just saying you can also start w/out tracking and just cleaning things up. Then track.. then get to the point where you dont need to track.

But again the more data you have the better. When its competition time for me I plan and track EVERYTHING.. food, workouts, sleep, anything I can think of I want to track and see what I can do to get an edge.

I am just not sure if the OP is ready to do the tracking so I was trying to give him another way to get results

So your a big enough guy, so its gonna take a bit of time. There is no need to rush things buddy, last thing you want is to start of with real crazy ideas like loosing a massive amount of weight and doing a colossal amount of exercise, because it will become tedious and tiring and its very frustrating if your not meeting your goals.
Simple fact is, that if you eat more calories than you burn you will gain weight!
This is only my 2 CC's, I think its important that you set a realistic amount of weight to loose each week, do plenty of cardio, as its proven to use up calories in the hours after you stop.
Also the diet is the main part, you don't necessarily need to count the calories but get a general idea of what your taking, although an extra biscuit or a handful of cereal does add up! Don't eat untill your 100% full, I'd say 80% full. And don't eat anything fatty before bed time.

Hope you reach your goals bro!
