Pinned thigh and it has been swollen for 3 days now.. Swell moving downward and is now over knee cap

1st two pics Pics are of 2 days after pin.
2nd two pics are of today, 3 days after. You can see the scab mark where I pinned. It is not swollen near the pin point. What's happening?

Thanks

They'll give you antibiotics. Make sure you run probiotics after the course of antibiotics bro

Tell them what you did and they'll probably just be like wtf idiot

Yeaa, shit. Think I just didn't go deep enough? ... I go like .5- .75 in legs. Legs always get really swollen and red after to. Delts and high glutes are like nothing, but eod injects are tuff to do with only 4 pin sites. Hit or miss with the legs whether I'm gonna feel fine the next day or if it's gonna look all swollen like this. Never had it travel like this. I feel Like just keeping my leg up would drain it back lol
Damn it, headed to the doc

And I'm pinning with 23 gauge needles...

I am doing every day injections and I use 4 sites.
I use glutes and outer thigh.
By the time I am back to the same site it is fine.

I must be a baby when it comes to needles then. Ed and only 4 sites....no thank you lol

My ass cheeks still have scar tissue/lump build up and it's almost gone by the time I get through all 6 spots

I don't know what you are pinning but why not add delts? I'm 6 weeks into my prop cycle and pinning ED and the first 4 weeks I used 4 sites (glutes, and outer quad)... but the past 2 weeks I've added delts and it makes it a hell of a lot easier. They are probably my new favorite spot.

I've gone a loooong time just pining in my glutes. Stay to the upper outter quadrants and move half a inch away each time. Just avoid the sciatic nerve. Even pressure on that nerve will make ur life hell.

Did I get that right that you only go in half an inch with the needle? If that's the case, that's the case of your problem as well.

I did all of my first cycle with 5/8" inch needles because I was stupid and I thought that would be enough and you wouldn't believe the kind of PIP that gave me in the second and third day. I got an sterile abscess once, couldn't walk most of the time, tried injecting the ventro-gluteal area and it got super swollen twice of the three times I did it...

The problem is that if you don't go deep enough all the oil comes out of the muscle, takes longer to be absorbed, causes pain... I use 24g 1" for my quads and go all the way in. And I've never had any pain or abscess since I switched.

Well today the swelling has gone down a bit, can see my knee cap again...

So too shallow..ill go deeper.

I thought I just needed to go into the muscle. Figured not much skin or fat on my thighs. Delts I go about the same. (Howtodoinjections.com)

When I do glutes I bury it all the way. Never had a issue really except scar tissue build up.

Thanks for the info

You can buy a shit load of 1.5" needles for glutes and if u decide to do delts or quads cut 1" off the plastic safety cap so 1" is exposed. Now u have a stop for the needle and there is no question if you're deep enough.

If the pain starts to go away is there still possibility of an abscess?

It is an abscess now. Look up the definition. What you need to do is put heat on it to get blood into the area to draw the oil out of the pocket.
Yes, i believe, as the pain goes away so does the abscess and the risk of infection.

Today I'm completely fine... Crazy that was a tad bit scary but im good now. I pinned delt and glute since and switched the bottle of test prop out. Just to make sure it wasn't because of bacteria being in the bottle. Also going deep now. No issues

It wasn't red, it didn't feel hot and you didn't present the symptoms of being infected with anything (believe me, you know when that happens). It was just a sterile abscess, meaning that your body wasn't absorbing the oil as fast as was expected but no infection but your gear is fine.

Yea I believe your correct. And i believe I didn't go deep enough. But trust me it was red and trust me it was hot and trust me my WBC was elevated a little in my blood test.

Infection? I dont know, If so it was mild and I didn't need antibiotics. I think what happened was normal I just need to pin deeper

Thing is almost all my injection sites become a little red and hot from time to time, specially these new ones. Glutes rarely

Heres what I left with from the doc. She drew a line around the red zone and said if it gets worse call me... Lmao about that but I also got antibiotics which I decided I didn't need

Pic is today. You can tell it's much better

a sterile abscess would be a lump and there would be no swelling or redness from it. hence the word sterile.

i've had a SA before and the lump took several weeks to dissipate but there was no issues aside from that

what you have here could be an abscess if there was a lump, but more likely you got an infection going which seems to be getting better. of course she is gonna give you anti-biotics.. docs hand them out like candy.. however if your situation gets worse you will have to take them. i hope she gave you Zpac and not some cheap anti-biotics

Good glad your better now bro!
