well the master rebuild kit is only 24 bucks... but @ 70 bucks an hour labor it could be in the realm of 3-400 dollars.

OK, so the shop called me today, said they took apart the master cylinder and the calipers and that wasnt it. Now they think it was the lines, they were pretty bent in some places so they think they may have either let air in somewhere, or they are kinked. Luckily I had new Spiegler steel braided ones lying on the shelf in my garage. I dropped them off yesterday and I have to call them today and see if that was the problem.

So what you're trying to say is someone who has no clue what they're doing is working on the bike? It's not high tech shit, it's a front brake system. Master cylinder, lines, calipers, rotors, brake pads, and you can eliminate the calipers and brake pads right off the bat.

Yup. Dealership. He only spent an hour total on it. I found out that it had been sitting there for 6 days not being touched.

All depends on the stealership, some are fast and some are slow. Have to remember too that the riding season is still early and there's a lot of people that are just now breaking out their bikes or already have and need something done to them.

OK, here is my last and final post on this clusterfuck.

Here is what it was...

Calipers: No
Master Cylinder: No
Lines: No
Pads: No
Rotors: No

The cockknocker who had the bike before me had an R6 lever put on it... The clearance on the lever that allows the MC piston to retract fully was too small. They had to manually go in and grind the lever down to give it the proper clearance.

No new parts - Zero Dollars
4 hours of labor - $300

Realizing that you are an idiot.... Priceless.

Wow. never would have thought of that. $300 huh ouch. I spent $300 in labor getting my clutch right. So we tied there. Sure does make you feel better that it runs right now huh? I mean you want to learn stoppies but only when you want to do one.

Whoa whoa whoa, wait a second....they didn't put the CORRECT lever on there, they just ground down the wrong one and put it back on?

Dude, do yourself a favor and spend the $10 to get the correct one once you get over the anal rapage you just got at the dealer. There was no way for you to know it was the wrong lever. Hell, I would've even thought there'd be no difference between them. Manufacturers like to share some parts between bikes to cut down their costs.
