the 3 or 4 of ya'll here who actually follow my threads may recall i am painting the front of the bywater money pit, a circa 1880's side hall double parlor victorian home in one of what's left of new orleans historic home districts.

today's mental challenge is painting at least one set of the 6 louvered 8 foot tall cypress shutters that cover the entrance door and 2 floor to (almost) ceiling windows of the front parlor.

i am doing both sides, (at least) 2 coats as i am changing the color from basic black to french quarter green.

ALL THOSE LOUVERS! ARRRRGH!

i dunno how people can paint houses for 8 hours a day, day in, day out....after about 3 hours i am ready to hurl the paint brush down the street.

Ummmm...take them outside and spray them. 100 x easier.

yes, there is...but their work is of....varying...quality and i don't speak spanish. also, being a po' civil service time sufferer, money is always an issue for me.
