I'm always in pain, always, it sucks. if it's not my shoulder, it's something else. If I've got any of those high power pain killers or muscle relaxers, I get a bit carried away with them, so for now I stick to tylenol and advil. But... I only take them after my workout, not before. I believe that pain while working out tells you what parts of your body are hurting and if you're all hopped up on Vicodin and not feeling the pain, that doesn't mean you're not causing damage.
