Paging anyone that's had Knee Scope surgery...

I had an MRI this week and it looks like I'm going to need a scope to remove some tissue for a small tear I have. It's nothing major, but the tissue must be removed. The Doc didn't really sound to bad when he told me how it would be, said i'd be out of work for a couple of days and able to play sports again in a month or so provided I do the proper rehab...

Any input on your situation is appreciated. Recovery time, extent of the injury, etc.... Thanks

I had the medial miniscus trimmed after I tore it and was out for 6 weeks. Included in that 6 weeks was 4 weeks of rehab.

Lateral meniscus scopes, both knees. I didn't have a good rehab program, though. Both docs didn't know didley about strength & rehab.

It took awhile, but I'm better than ever now.

i had my knee scoped when I was 17 (football injury in high-school) Rehab was full of shit. Make sure you get a good re-hab program. I thought I was fine till I went in the Marine Corp right after high schiool, fuckin knee was weak as hell. Stayed in boot at MCRD for 8 months took 5 months in a MRP (med rehab platoon) to get my shit working right again. Have been lifting pretty hardcore for 4 years now and no problems. Soreness every now and then with extremely heavy squats but nothing serious. I can't stress enough how important the rehab after surgery is!!!!
