OK this is where I ask for advice from you about....CELL PHONES

I've had the Motorola Droid for a couple months, and I'm 92.6% happy with it. Signal is great, internet and features are the best. The battery is a little short-lived, and the telephone sound quality is poor. People complain I'm talking into a metal can, and it sounds to me like they're on a satellite phone in a radio news report. But I wouldn't trade this Droid for another phone now, it's still a good balance of features and quality. I just wish the sound were better.

Check your power settings and make sure you have it on the save power mode (or whatever the hell it is called). I haven't had any power issues with the battery (not yet anyway) but I haven't used it for hours straight either.

home many times do we have to go over the incompatibility of CDMA networks with GSM equipment???????????????

Mitch is correct.

LOL. I wonder why people unlock the AT&T phones...so they can use T-Mobile! woo hoo (twirls finger in air)

I think verizon only has one BB Tour. I think the model number is like 9603, or 9630. Something like that, I've used blackberries for about 5-6 years now and this one took me couple hours to get used to, but it wasn't bad.

I always consider with going with one of the other "smartphones" everytime I get a new one, but always end up going with Blackberry because they're so durable and just work. Some of those other smart phones can be a lil finicky sometimes.

My cousin just got a motorala droid, seems like a pretty cool phone, but I didn't like the keyboard, and it was pretty friggin' heavy for a phone.

There's the first gen Storm where the whole screen is actually one big button, within that gen there is the 9500 and the 9530. The 9530 is the one I can get for $30. It's a crappy implementation of the touch screen functionality but I'm pretty sure the processor and memory will do the job. It's also fairly robust. I've worked on a few of them.

The Storm 2 has a true touch screen and I'm not sure how many sub-models there are of that one.

The Tour is nothing like the storm. It isn't touch screen at all. Similar to the curve.

Yeah the Tour is nice. I could have sworn I've seen two Tours, the new one and an old one. On some of the old ones it said "World Edition" on it and it had contacts on the side for a separate charge stand. I think that's an 8830 and wasn't that called "Tour" as well?

it may have been.

I think you may be right actually..Now that I think about it when I got my tour it came w/all sorts of fucked up looking plugs to charge in different countries.
