My Review of the Droid

My brother had a droid and it gave him some major problems... not sure exactly what but one was the entire touch screen went out. I have a blackberry for my company phone, I never was into that whole phone thing so I don't even use the black berry to its full ability.

WTMF Frisky!

btw, the awesome apps are:
bar code scanner- scan a bar code with the phone and it will search the net (knowing your location, it gives you local stores, plus online stores) for the item and the best price.

built in gps

Goggles- take a picture of a store or landmark with Goggles and it will search the web for it. No need to type it in.

Voice search- hit the microphone button and say the phrase you want to search. I tried it tonight and it worked great.

How do you feel about it now that you've had more time with it?

I love some things about it and still hate others. It's not a good phone for someone who isn't a little technical. Setting up sound profiles required downloading an app and it's still not what I want. I can't get it to sync with my car blue tooth (it syncs, but the address book won't go over).
and like with all touch screens, I often hit a button with my cheek or earring or sunglasses while i'm on the phone, which MUTES the call. so all of a sudden my call is saying "are you there? hello?" and i have to scramble to delete the number I pressed and hit the back button before they hang up.

it's super easy to text- it's way more intuitive than any other phone. it's also great for changing ringtones- I can transfer songs from my computer and cut a section for a ringtone really easily.

the battery life sucks ass.

This is actually a fault of the proximity sensor. So it's not really with all TS phones. The PS should sense when something solid is within say a half an inch of the front of the phone and turn off the LCD and touchscreen.

the iPhone works like this and lots of people are complaining that the iPhone 4 does this, too.

It might be the way you're holding the phone also.
