I love the way the various bible bashers use the old chestnut - god moves in mysterious ways when we question why there is pain and suffering - it is a test of faith, what a power trip their god must be on, would you torture your children to test their love?

Like I suggested before, without pain, we cannot grow. I like to view life as a progression, in the sense that we want to ultimately be the greatest we can be before we die, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Pain is simply another emotion that we bring upon ourselves to help us cope with a situation. We create it, we inflict it, and we must overcome it.

Still this a waste of space as you are blind, unquestioning, brainwashed zealots.

You can make your point without resorting to insults.

A couple of thoughts...

I believe this board should be about AS not our beliefs. But that said I have recieved a lot of IM's (from other boards as well) and would like to clear the air.
I am a Christian. I use AS. I dont think there is anything biblically wrong with it. I do not abuse them. If you drink too much soda you could get sick, if you dont eat right you are opening up yourself to possible disease, sickness etc. if you put salt or sugar on your food etc.etc. I think as someone mentioned the key is moderation. I use AS to build my body in what I believe is a healthy way.
I dont believe I am any better than anybody else. Im a sinner just like you. Im a hypocrite just like you (though Im working on it, really). The only difference is I have accepted the free gift of grace. I have a lot of friends that are bodybuilders and they ask questions and I am able to share my beliefs.
For those who say "Fuck God" thats OK for you. Its your god-given decision to reject him. Isnt it great? He didnt create robots, he gave us free will. I respect your decision, though I will pray that you see the light.
For those who ask the age-old question "Why is the world so messed up if there is a God? Good question. He gave us free will to make our own choices...look what man has done with that! The truth is God is sovereign and in control. What you need to know is that Satan is the god of this world, for now, until Jesus returns, which will be soon, very soon.
Lastly, a comment about science disproving the Bible. My friend it is far from the truth, science keeps changing their mind, the more new information that comes out, the more evidence comes closer and closer to the biblical perspective. See this month Readers Digest (not a christian book by any means) about how science has discovered evidence that our bodies are "hard-wired" for God.
As for the theory of evolution..BTW it IS a theory...it takes much more faith to believe in that, than it does to believe in Jesus Christ. So if you believe it.. although I disagree, I admire your faith, its much stronger than mine.

I was going to post almost exactly what you commented in your last post. God gave us free will to make us all the more empowered once we have accepted His grace. Do not say that God is responsible for evil. He is the only perfect Good. Satan and our sin are responsible for evil.

Bodybuilding is pure vanity. Weight lifting for improved health is not. Last time I checked, vanity was a serious sin.

Have most of you read the Bible? I know I have. All of the new testament, and the first two books of the old Testament as well as some bit and pieces. The entire book is full of contradictions. Even the Gospel is full of contradictions in how Jesus really died.

Eveything is a sin! Off the top of my head (I don't have it in font of me): Leviticus 19:21, homosexuality is a detestable act and punishable by death. Cross-dressing is also punishable by death. Now, I'm not a fag, but come on!

Jesus was a real hardass according to the Bible(Check Matthew 5:13-27), and everyone tries to give him this image of caring and understanding. Bullshit! If you commited the act of aldultery in your heart,(If you even though about another women) you are guilty in the eyes of the Lord. If you look at another women with lust in your heart, scoop your good eye out. At least you will still make it to heaven.

I beleive that Jesus really was a great man who was attempting to take over the Land from the occuping Roman Empire.

Btw, a religious person is a very ARROGANT person. They beleive that they have the answers and accordingly, everyone else is doomed. What Bullshit...

Dude, do you really think that God thinks your roid use is okay...really, truthfully now. Yet he still takes us where we are and works with us.....YET, is that an excuse to knowingly harm the body....and please don't tell me that roids do not have any negative affect on the body.
