OK here my senario

I am 5 foot 11 inches and around 280 now. Yes I was morbid obese. I working on it relax. Problems yes and here they are:

I cannot take anything that would up my blood pressure

My breathing is improving but I am still not getting what I need outta workouts

No free weights in Gym (I bought my own, for at home, but only one arm curl bar)

My suppliments are Three protein shakes a day, CEE, and Glucoamine 750 for joint pain.

What am I doing wrong? I wanna bulk up, and I know it's possible.

MY EDIT: I do cardio. It was three times a week but now I switching to 5 times. Sorry for the omittion, hey is that a word?

did i read that right? you are 5'11" 280lbs, say you were morbid obese, but you're trying to bulk?
 
OK mod, I think its better to remove post because I don't want a bunch of stuff being said.... I should have never put it out there. My wording was wrong and even though I know what I meant others don't. My stupidity. My apologies for wasting space.

For a site that says it helps people, I don't see it. I actually see the opposite, which is sad, because there is good info, but so much and everyone is different. Just because your body chemistry is such a way doesn't mean it will have same results for others. Just a little kick back if ya get me. I was gonna become a member, and still may. But man, do I feel like being dawged all the time? That's a good question. Remove post and warn me if nessessary.

i wasn't trying to put you down bro, i was just asking if that was what you meant.

in all honesty i think you should worry about getting a good diet and plan down. bulking should not be in your mind. when you work out and eat right that fat will burn off and you'll be adding muscle. there are TONS of guys on this board with TONS of info and i'm sure they will chime in sooner or later. sometimes it takes a little time to get a response.
 
Diet bud, whats you BF?

That will have a lot to do with the answers I can give. If you dont know or want to give a number do you know a range your in.

Its difficult for me to figure a game plan cause some guy could be your stats and be in heavy weight body buliding or could just need to loose a lot.
 
My apologies for getting upset, its frustrating though LOL. Quit beotching right.... LOL. Just to do it I measured the "pouch" that hangs now after I started cardio and weights. It measured 2 1/2 inches. Before, I didn't have anything hanging down. It's flat out some ugly stuff to look at. I am actually embarrassed even talking about it, but I bet there are a few here that are now or have gone or going through same thing. I am upping time on cardio and keeping up with the weights. I am wondering about the creatine. Should or shouldn't? It floats in my mind, with all the water I drink. I cut soda out completely and instead have a nice protein drink, or water. As for fast food, I stopped at Steak and Shake, and for the first time I couldn't take more than three bites. I did drink the shake (shame on me). The food tasted horrible. Is this the change that comes with getting in shape. I am also told by physician that I no longer need the paxil. That's a big F@#$ yeah because you know, it sux because of the (cough cough) sex effects. Thanks man for replying, mighty cool of ya man. If that pouch gets much bigger I will move to Australia and put a Kangaroo in it (Laughing). I'll work it off in time. Now back to reading.......................

I did hear of the topical stuff advertised here on front page. Lipoflame would send me into a messy depression because of ingredients. Maybe i try that topical stuff, after I become member here. OK ......

Well Creatine dosnt really need to be in your supps line up right now in my oppinion, it is mainly for APT restoration and utalized best for increases reps and weight for lifting. Plus it adds water weight.

Cutting Soda out was a great first step. You need to fluctuate your cardio dont do the same old every day and you need to encompas weight training into that not just cardio the more lean body mass you gain the quicker you will burn fat.

Main rule is cals in cals out first and main thing they teach you in personal training certs.

Make sure you are in a kcal defacite and you will loose simple as that. stay away from sugars and make sure you are not completly cutting out carbs like most people try to du it will only last awhile then you will pack back on quick.

If your taking in 1500 cals a day make sure you are burning 1700.

remember 3,500 kcal is 1 lbs of fat lost!

I never measured, so you are right as in how could one answer. I am fat. I know diet, and lost fat, but since working with weights too can I trust the scale? Will the scale tell the tale? Not to be funny. My butt and my belly is trouble. My legs are strong as for my upper whole body. If you measure that pouch i was talking about oh S@#$...... LOL I would be afraid of what it would read. Does it sound weird when I say the "pouch" feels hollow?

Throw away your scale!!! It is your worst enemy. Use the Mirror to gage your progress. Focus on building solid nutritional habits. Lean protein and veggies with every meal. No calorie containing drinks. Stick with water, green tea, and low carb protein drinks. If it doesn't expire or it comes in a box don't eat it. Do cardio in the morning and then hit the weights in the evening. Train hard and be consistent. Seek exercise during daily activities by taking the stairs or parking in the back of the parking lot. Don't do anything in the gym that involves siting down. Keep moving. Hard work pays off and it takes dedication to get to your goals. Nothing worth it in live comes easy.

LOL! Dude it was gross..... I think them protein shakes are growing on me, and I thought those tasted like s@#$. Now it's backwards. Better for me though hehehehehe. Yeah Midwest here. About three years behind either coastline...
 
Definitely read Tom Venutos ebook, Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle. it will help get your diet in order. I had a lot of improving to do on mine.

I myself have lost over 70lbs of fat in the last 5 months. I feel great now, no meds, blood PSI is normal now and I look great to boot!!

So keep it up it is possible!!! and PM if you have any questions, I am off to work right now!
