This lady friend of yours should have been more careful.

Are you talking to me? Because I was not defending anyone :) in fact this is my attempt at diplomacy since I am usually blunt. ;)

maybe im just jaded but i really dont give a toss. what she does with her body is her business, though i have no respect for a woman who has clearly put her reproductive system on the chopping block for the sake of a little forward planning.

if i were to decide against marrying the woman, it wouldnt be for the morality of having 5 abortions, but rather, for how stupid youd have to be to do so.

ethically theres not a great deal of difference between having 1 abortion and 5, imo.

I think he believes that if there is a god that he is a prick, a view that I've sometimes shared. Because of things like little children getting raped and tortured and just how fucked up life and the world is in general. Who would create such a place of torture and suffering? And people who say we only torture ourselves and that we deserve it are just plain dumb.

I can look inside a woman and see a baby with ultrasound with 4d imaging and look at the babie's face like a portrait picture. I can go into a neonate ward and see how much work has to be done to keep a premature baby alive.

Only a thin layer of skin is the dividing line between those two babies the same age. One can be killed b/c of convenience or whatever excuse, the other can be kept alive and live a full life with all the constitutional protections of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Sometimes, the rules are absolutely stupid, just b/c the human life is on the other side of some biological tissue, i.e. the mom's skin, does that make that baby any less of a human with rights that we all hold so near and dear??

Or does it make a difference yet??? I dont know the answer to this by the way.

Neither do I. Well one way of looking at it for those that are religious. You are sending the unborn child straight to heaven. If they live past childhood, the majority of them are going to hell according to most religious beliefs. Isn't that stupid? I wish I would have died at birth then, because I sure the hell do not know where I"m gonna end up.

That is a very slippery slope. Should we just kill all children before the age of reason to ensure thier beatitude? That's just horrific. I am pro-responsibility. If you did not take the measures of proper birth control, then you should live with the consequences of said actions

Tolkein said it best.

"Many that die deserved life, can you give it to them?"

Oh I hate this topic...I always get sucked in when I tell myself I won't look or respond....I was pro choice until I had my kids....when you look at the tiny tiny baby at 8 weeks old...moving with a heart beat and then later you feel it move inside you and then you give birth....there is no doubt that it is murder when aborted.....

I will love my daughter for eternity. SHe nearly died when she was 3. Came very close. According to the religious, she would be in eternal bliss right now. But, now that she is nearly 14 and does not believe in God, she is headed for hell according to the religious doctrines. Funny thing, I was agnostic when she nearly died, but I prayed like a son-of-a-bitch for her not to die. Even called all the religious people I knew and asked them to pray. So if she dies and goes to hell, I am responsible because I had half the world praying for her not to die when she was 3. Life can be so ironic. Anyway, I think it's all bullshit. Noone knows anything.
