Americans disarming nuclear bombs from the world yet they've used nuclear bombs...Americans preaching freedom of choice and religion and all values and the right to happiness, yet they prosecute muslims because they do not share their views on culture, politics and religion....Americans...particularly 53 % of New Yorkers are scared, ignorant people who would suggest their president is a muslim because he is following constitution.

Just to be clear, I personally think that Islam is indeed the most backwards religion around. If youre going to choose to believe in something, why choose a faith that makes much less sense than all the others. Plus, some persian women are hot and they make them wear burkas and shit everywhere. Not cool.

But let's get real. It's not a mosque, it's a community center that happens to have a place of worship in it. That's important, because the goals of the center are not just about promoting tolerance, but giving the community a place to take their kids to play or go to the gym or whatever. Everything I've read indicates that this plans to operate much like the "little C" YMCAs or the 92nd Street Y (a Jewish community center) do, meaning that religious instruction will be available, but giving the community a comfortable place is the first and foremost goal.

Plus, its not even at ground zero.

Uhhhhhhh No, but I do agree with you as I have said before that the majority of Muslims I have meet are not radical America haters as some folks would have people believe. But in a country that was founded on Christian ideals, I find it very offensive for our piss poor excuse for a President to make such a request. Religon is a primary factor in the lives of a lot of people, at least those who were raised accordingly by their parents. If your Muslim, I feel you should live and practice your religon as your God would have you do. But don't fucking tell me you can build a Muslim Temple at the site of a terrorist act, created in my country by radical followers of Islam, and then tell me in the same breath my kids can't worship God or pray at public schools. Because then I fist fuck your eye socket and shoot you in the fucking face. This my friend is the root of the next civil war that will be fought in this country, and trust me with every breath it draws nearer.
