oatmeal really enoug for a "real" meal?

Hi.
I was just calculating my calorie intake.
100g of my oatmeal have only 366 cals. When i eat an oatmeal meal, i won't take more than 100g. I mix those 80-100g with some protein powder and drink it with water.
Now, if i eat that 4 times a day, i will only get about 1600 cals. now i got 1 more meal to eat. that won't make up more than 2100 cals, it will probably be around 2000 cals. so is oatmeal really the way to go?
How can i add more calories to an oatmeal meal? can i add dextrose? or will i rather get fat if i get TOO MUCH dextrose when i ALWAYS add dextrose?

I'll be honest w/ you...I have NO idea what you just said, but my guess is that you want to add calories. If you eat the 4 "oatmeal meals" then add some Flaxseed or Udo's choice oil to each of them for the extra calories. I guess you can go the oatmeal route if you can stand all the oatmeal.

I've got a buddy who says he eats 10 cup of oatmeal a day and eats all sorts of protein powder too. He now knows he needs to add fat to his diet so he says he's gonna go buy a bunch of flax oil and eat that a bunch....

Don't forget the calories from the protein you're adding to the meal, this could easily eb another 200 calories.

hey do y ou really want to know what i think? if you work out al least 3 times or more aday 2000 cals isnt enough you wont gain hardly anything but u will be cut!! you will gain strength but you wont have big muscles! Oatmeal all day long wil get old really fast. It has alot of carbs,protein,cals. in it if you eat it all day long your carbs will be huge and thats not good unless you run and train every day! stick to eggs,skim milk,preotein powder,bars, granola,chicken,turkey,tuna,cream of wheat,wheat bread,potatoes,honey and equal instead of jelly or sugar. Oatmeal in the morning. Before you go to bed have a protein drink it is low in cals and fats but high in the protein your body needs.
