So today I was informed that I made it to the second and last phase of the new supervisor selection, I was in interview and they told me I was really nice, that they assumed I had no exp as a team lead, I told them at my previous job I was actually floor supervisor so did have plenty experience.... they continued to tell me they thought I was too pleasent and "benevolent" WTF.... so now I'm too nice to be a supervisor, and I'm not that fucking nice I don't know where they get this shit form, Im not a bitch on wheels but I'm not a HGod Damn push over either, I know when you need to get shit done the easy or the hard way.... I guess that went freaking bad....

I'm so upset.....

oftentimes, "nice" is a cop out word masking a true opinion...they could really be saying you are a tool, or your tits were not perky enough

No here is the deal. They apparently have a morale problem, or something like that where they do not trust the employees. U do not come off as too nice. What they mean is that you do not imbue them with a commanding presence, and they feel that you would pussyfoot when instead of direct motivation, as in threats, or manipulation.
When that is said that one is too nice, apprarently there is dysfunction in the corporation between middle management and the base.
You are better off.

Interview in a similar style, be Ul... be nice. The correct corporation will hire you.
Do not overcompensate, you will just be turned down, by giving a 'fake' or shady feel.

Our business is a bit difficult because the main base is in Miami... so information/communication isn't always fast, also due to the nature of the industry agents and supervisors are the last to know product information and launches (in order to avoid info leaks) which generates pissed off employees... I think they may be under the impression I can't take the heat.... or maybe I'll pussy out/breakdown if my agents bitch and I have no info to give to them... I'll just wait and see....

It's about being assertive enough not to crumble when you need to confront or address certain issues with your staff. But it can be done in a respectful and fair manner.

I wont leave because the money is good, the job is easy and it's putting me through my PhD, also if I quit opossed to getting fired I lose like $1500 due to a compensation package u get when ur fired.... one more year and I get to work in my own area so I'll just stick around for now, also the benefits are pretty good (medical, dental, 1 paid personal day each trimester, 1 week free beach hotel stay a year, stable environment, leave of absence up to 6 months and then come back to your job and more)
But I sure as hell dont care about being on time, having good performance, going the extra mile, etc... I probably say this because I'm hurt though.... I cant be a bad employee.... its wrong....

I was sad but fine with being left behind for the position but when I realized it was an unfair process and the chick who got it has been here only 4 months (requirements stated 6 mo seniority required) many of us started complaining and we talked to HR and the CEO and the bitch aint getting the job TAKE IT!!!!!!!!!!

The process will start again.... I lovew real justice.... faith restored in my company.... even if I dont get it, I'm now happy.....
