Nolva/Liquidex and Cholesterol

I understand that Liquidex will elevate cholesterol levels. I am also under the impression that Nolva lowers it (or at least does not raise it). First of all, is this correct?

Can someone explain why?

Huck just gave you a great answer. Here's the same thing in someone else's words:

In most tissues (for instance, your breasts), Nolvadex blocks estrogen receptors. This is why people use it to prevent/combat gyno. In your liver, however, Nolvadex does the opposite and acts as an estrogen agonist. Hence, the rise in HDL.

My last sentence is misleading. AS can drop your HDL so low that Nolva merely "helps" rather than "raises". But it's better than nothing at all.

Yup.....but clomid will do the same as well as these two drugs are almost identicle.

Most mens lipid profile really goes to shit when they do two things...#1. Take 17aa roids, especially winstrol and #2. They take an estrogen inhibitor like arimidex. A heavy fatty diet only makes things much worse.

I do as Bill Lewellyn does, that is I take 20 of nolva during all cycles(even non aromatizing cycles) as it does help a bit with the bloat and improves lipid profile as long as I am not on 17aa roids.

Bill Roberts recommends either clomid or Nolvadex duirng cycles for various reasons including the above.
