I am looking for articles,FAQs or advice pertaining to monitoring and manipulating insulin sensitivity and metabolism.
I started out 5 months ago at 275 lbs 39%bf and am now 219lbs 24%bf (male, 6'2" age:29). I used a diet of 58p/14c/28f at 1850cal over 6 meals/day with no cheat days (no, really), while using the BFL training (6 days: 3 weights, 3 HIIT cardio). After 5 months I was feeling a little...overtrained.
I am now aware that at 1850cal I was way underfed and have probably disabled my metabolism and the long duration of low carb intake has wrecked my insulin sensitivity. I am currently in week 3 of a 6/1 CKD with proper calorie & nutrient ratio intake and would like to continue cutting (can I even call it 'cutting' at 24%bf? *gulp*) but I believe I may have to gracefully migrate to diet/training designed to increase insulin sensitivity and metabolism.
Someday...I'll be 220/5%...someday...
