Hey Guys,

I just started to body build and need some help deciding which protein and supplements to take. I am 18 years old and weigh only 115 lbs. I am in desperate need of gaining muscle mass. I work out 30-45 mins daily. As for daily intake, How much protein should I consume and what should I avoid eating?

Thank You,

Parth

You dont need protein. You need a good well balanced weight gainer formula, tons of Glutamine, some creatine, and tons of bcaa.If you have any questions let us know.

You need food! Red meat, eggs, oats, potatoes, rice, tuna, whole milk, etc. Supplements are called supplements because they are there to fill in the gaps of your diet. If I was you, I would shoot for 2x my body weight in grams of Protein and carbs, and 1x my body weight in fats. That means 230 grams of Protein a day, 230 grams of carbs a day, and 115 grmas of fat a day. That will put you at around 2800 calories a day. You should start out slow and work up to these numbers, but that will get you growing. Also at your weight you should be able to eat a little dirty. By that I mean don't be afraid of a little pizza and ice cream every once in a while or every day lol. It will help you gain weight.

G'DAY i have been trying to work it all out since i was 18. the best resource i ever had to learn from was anthony ellis's "gaining mass" he has meals, workouts, detailed descriptions etc. i'm still trying to learn a lot and sometimes i can pick up some good info on this site. but yeah that is a great place to start, he really encourages the all natural approach, the meal routine is a bit much to handle if you work but if you dont i've seen my mates really beef up and then trim down well without any roids. pretty good results i reckons.

food is your best friend mate
eat plenty of high protein meals
ON whey is my favorite protein

go to costco buy the EAS premium protein. doesn't taste as good as stuff like ON, or BSN but its got quality and its relatively cheap.
