I would give it more than a couple weeks before blowing so much smoke up his ass. I mean how long has this been goin on ? 2 weeks? It is a move in the right direction and hopefully glad will get his schooling done and get a career going and be able to give the kid a great life. He is motivated and that is always a plus.

I think what's being said is..... consider the picture Glad has painted for himself on this site over the years(self inflicted). Some of you dog him, kick em while he's down, make fun of and joke about him and his life. Therefor by him being there for his kid and providing a stable environment (stepping up to the plate) seems to go against the very beliefs that some of you have towards him as a person and a new Dad.

Simply put he has stepped up to the plate 1)compared to most men in America. 2) Some of you would have bet he would never take responsibility and or sustain that responsibility as a Father.

Again, false dilemma. Merely negating a choice of two negative qualities doesn't make a positive or mean one's stepping up to the plate. I understand what you people are trying to say, but it's completely trivial.

Christ, some subsets of this society are pathetic.

I'm reminded of a Chris Rock bit where he's getting on guys for being proud of taking care of their kids. "You're SUPPOSED TO DO THAT!"

But the fact is at a young age doing what you are supposed to is fairly uncommon. How many people really had their shit together at 21? I had a lot of things going right, but I had plenty going wrong too. Knowing the right thing and doing it, at 21, is worthy of recognition in my opinion.
