New physique contest!!!

I talked to Big Rick Rock about this and he gave me the go-ahead. What I'm doing is staging another photo contest like I did last year. It wasn't a big thing, just for fun. A few of the good bros on the board entered: Quadsweep, The Bouncer (who won it), and V-Shape to name a few. The idea this year is basically the same.

The name of the contest is "Most Inpirational Physique." This is not a "mass and cuts at all cost" contest. The winner will have at the least: a good/ decent amount of mass, definition, and good proportion. The quality of the photo may also have some influence (dramatic lighting, good posing etc.) as it is the overall inspirational qualities that will win this contest- The kind of picture that makes you go, "Damn! That's what bodybuilding is all about!" (note: I'm not saying it has to be a professional photo. A dramatic shot under your kitchen lighting can make just as much of an impression.)

We will have natural guys, juicers, and competitive bodybuilders in this contest. The only stipulation is that this is off limits to any pro-bodybuilder. Sorry, it just wouldn't be fair. Don't hesitate to send in your pic even if you think another guy might be bigger/better. I'm welcoming all types to enter. Viva diversity!!

The contest ends on March 15th, 2004. The winner will recieve $50 out of my pocket and a free platinum membership from Elite Fitness. Once we start getting a few entries in, I'll devote a page on my webspace to post all the contestant's pictures. I guess you can either post the pictures here or send them to me via e-mail at [email protected]

Are these full body pics, or just your best bodypart? I'm guessing full body...
 
I won't even bother entering if guys like quad, galaxy and aap are in. I'll take most guys on the board, but not the super-freaks.
 
I think at least an upper body shot would be best. Full body preferred. If Tom Platz was a young unknown here on the board and posted pics of his legs, I don't know if he'd win or not. But, I'd sure be inspired.

I really don't know who all will enter yet. Quad and the other big boys may not even get around to it. And, like I said, it's not just about being big and ripped. This is a contest anyone can enter and anyone with the right combination of mass, shape, cuts, all that, can win.

I think the platinum membership would be for a month. But, I don't know. Big Rick would be the guy to ask. He just told me a free platinum membership.

Solid effort! I don't r/ber the contest last year but I think this is a great idea. How about a womens division too? There are some KILLER chics on the site... Daisy, Raina, etc... :lil k:

Littlemags, I got your pics! Lookin great. I'll start putting up pics on a special page devoted to the contest after we get three or four more entries. Should be up in a day or so.

Eviction, so you think your schlong can win? You've got a good idea here. I may not be a big builder, but may have a chance at that one. Too bad aas doesn't increase bone size.... Nevermind, no schlongs!

Yeah, I wish I would have planned for more categories (i.e. women, smaller guys etc.). But, maybe next time. Besides, all are welcome to submit a pic. If I remember right, Littlemags sent me a pic of him at 150lbs. that is amazing! If the contest ended at this point, he'd be a very strong contender for the title. It ain't all about big numbers.

too bad I'm a runner/sprinter, my muscles are not massive, but fast twitch type (170lbs @5-7% bf year round) - any chance I could hang with 220+ lbs monstarrs :martini:
 
WHOOAAA boy you just gave me the inspiration I needed. Is there any way it can be a month later? I'm sure I cam make some remarkable progress in 2 months but would prefer 3 months. This is gonna be one of those massively fat to trim things. I''ll send you the pics. Gotta warn ya though, they are pretty nasty
 
So this is basically a "best transformation" contest. Exactly the motivation I'm looking for now! Great idea and much respect to you for hosting it.

I agree with one of the above posters, can you make the end date a little later, like 3 - 4 months later April or May?? Shit I'll be starting my first cycle hopefully soon this would motivate me immensely.
 
Hmm, April or May? Big Rick Rock, what do you say about this? I think pushing the end date back is ultimately going to be up to the administrator. But, I see why that would be good for some.

It's not really a "transformation" contest, though. The whole "inspiration" thing is to broaden the judging criteria so that everyone can enter. To say something like, "You created a great looking body, but aren't pro caliber? So What. Let's see what you got!" Trust me, when you see some of the guys at between 150-200lbs compared to some 250-300lb. guys, you'll see what I mean. Quality comes in all shapes and sizes.

This competition is definately open to women! The same rules apply to women and men. The winner must have a muscularly inspiring body. I'd be glad to see some women enter. There's no reason a woman can't have a muscular and impressive body.

I had to beg, lie, and steal to get my account back after that. Someone did NOT like it at all.
 
Ok, I got a real rough draft page up with all the competitors that have submitted photos so far. I plan on only putting up one picture from each competitor. A couple people have sent me more than one pic, and I just chose one. Let me know if you prefer another pic.

Like I say, this is a real getto page I threw together (the "last years pics" links don't work yet ). But, you can see who all is in so far.

As far as I know, the end of the contest date is still March 15th. Again, this is not necessarily a "before and after" transformation thing. But, all are welcome to present those types of pics. The contest will be judged, then, on your after pic, as it compares to the other competitors.

Metal Gear was number 1 in my book, all the way. He's my inspiration for working out and I've got his pictures as well (not gay!). Unfortunantly I believe he is in prison for quite a while, he got caught dealing exctacy i think it was. Wish him luck guys! I MAY enter and make myself look bad lol.

I'm would like to do this but if were are expected to look our best I'm sure we would all agree that we would need more time. April is to soon. I would like it to be june or july, let's face it summer brings out the best.
 
Ok, the official word on the contest end date is still March 15th. I asked Big Rick Rock about this and he offered the idea of another contest in the summer when everyone is cut up.- "..for the Summer contest we will award two prizes... Best Body and Most Improved from this contest....can enter now, and enter again in the summer.... They might not win this time around but if they look even better by the summer they can win for thier improvements." Good idea.

So, whatever good shots you have already have or can have taken soon are what to post for this contest. Think of it as a warm-up for the big summer show down! But, remember, there still is a nice prize incentive here, and, this contest will give a good bench mark of what your current best is. Come summer, we'll all see the improvements. (hmm.. now I'm gonna have to post my pics and try this too.)

If we can get a good member response to this contest, we will surely put together a better one for the summer... we will set up a website and get some of the sponsors to put in some prizes for the contest. We will make sure to have a nice prize for the "Most Improved" so please enter even if you are not in top shape.

Me too. This is awesome I finally have some motivation other than looking good on the beach. Got my BF% down to 5.5% right now and abs are looking good. Can't wait for summer when the juice and a nice tan kick in:D :D

I'm at 180lbs 7.5%...but elbow isn't fully healed.

I'm waiting 2 weeks of light cardio, get down to 176lbs 6.5%, and then a 6 week full-blast Tren/Masteron/Test/Anavar/Proviron stack.......which shall end up at 186lbs 4% BF. :)

I'm all natty now and gonna hold out for a couple more months.
After that I'm going Test, Primo, Papervar, Clen.

I'm around 5'6 152lbs at 5-6% right now and prolly gonna stay in that weight range till I go on, then I wanna get myself in the 170lb range with a BF of 5-6%. I got up to 173lbs last summer at 10% with just 1 day of cardio as compared to 4 days now so I know I can do it.

Know doubt that this summer contest is gonna be interesting.

Vegetables(Stir Fry type)
97% Fat free Beef mince
Lactose-free milk
Peanut butter/low carb and sugar-free(I eat 300g of this/day)
Whey Protein(chocolate)
GPlenish
Steak...usually 500g or so per meal.
And then various tomato sauces and condiments.

If I get bored from the food, I just get 2-3 Subs from Subway. :)

Nobody won it yet. The end date was set at Mar. 15th to allow guys to get pics ready and such. If mods/ or administrator want to end it earlier than this, that's fine with me. Either way is cool.

Just Low-dose test(250mg) + Masteron(50mg/day).

If you include enough nutrient partitioning compounds you can increase the efficiency of your cycle by quite some margin.

I'm only on 600mg AAS/week and making awesome progress.

I think I'd like to enter into the contest. All though I definitely will not be a contender in overall size and symetry, I think I could put up some good before and after pics of my recent cutting cycle.
 
How about some weight categories? I just got done cutting down to 175 from a high of 198. I'm very lean but can't compare to the big guys.
 
there should be a 200+lb category and an under 200lb category.
I'm really looking for toward the summer contest.
I'm gonna start my cycle in about a month.
 
I agree about the weight categories. How about $50 to the over-200 and $50 to the under 200. Then, a "showdown" between class winners (perhaps a poll?) for who gets the two year platinum membership. How does that sound to everyone? I'd be happy to put my $50 toward one or the other, how 'bout it JA?
