You think that's bad, I can remember when 8-tracks were NEW, and the time before that when you were lucky just to get an AM radio in your car, and it had to warm up when you turned it on because it had tubes in it.

Yeah they'll burn you, they're essentially the same thing as a light bulb, with some extra parts.
They can sound wonderful.
