Nelson Montana, Supplement Pimp?

Nelson, you have championed yourself as a man of the people, defending them from the claims of supplement companies. You claim validity because of your association with Biotest and how they were using their customers and how you hated being a "cog in the machine". Now you are coming out in support of protein factory's line of supps. OK, at least you advocated all of their ingredients before endorsement but aren't you still a part of the establishment?

I'll die defending the premise that once someone has a financial interest in something they lose a portion of their credibility when giving opinions about it. Do you have a financial interest in anything the factory sells? The answer will be yes because he sells his book from their site, even if he has no kickback from the supps. Now, at least be up front and honest with your pimping of their supplements. Nobody will deny you the right to make a living by helping sell products you believe in, but at least be honest about it. In some way shape or form you are once again part of the "establishment."

This is in no way a flame against you as you have brought a lot to this board and bodybuilding and I give you props for it. Just my .02

Well if you really wanted to look at it from a different perspective. I quess you could say that ALL consumers are part of the establishment, as if it were not for the consumer there would be no establishment...I honestly think that Nelson uses and promotes these supps because they work...Hell, if I could make money off of it I would to...

would you rather it be from a credible source or a average joe who just board hops with no interest in helping just making $$$$$

If you guys want to see yet another side of Montana, go to the supplement section of bodybuilding dot com, for a thread of Protein Factory vs Protein Customizer. After getting slammed pretty hard for pimping PF, he signed on himself as an alias to prop himself up  Even commented about how good he looks (Nelson as a 3rd party describing Nelson) and got busted by the mods :D

Slight credibility...........down the drain

I understand the scepticism and it's a tough call. Over the years I've saved people tons of money and even made money for companies like BAC with no compensation. When I was approached by PF and asked "What's good?" I told then, and explained why. To then recommend those products seems pretty obvious. I don't see that as selling out. As a mtter of fact, I was recently offered a chance to have my book on a site that would generate a lot of traffic and increase sales twofold as long as I would trade links with the other site. But the site sold a product that felt was completely bogus and I refuse to be associated with it. I want to make money, but I want to do it on my terms and that means believing in what I promote.

Another case in point. Biotest recently changed their Tribex formula. They no longer list the avena coside %. They just say "pharmeceutical grade." What the fuck is that?!?! There's no pharmaceutical standard for avena. If PF ever did something like that, I'd denounce them in a heart beat!

As far as BB.com, that was a total lark. The people there are incredibly clueless. The residant steroid guru is a tennager who never used steroids. They ask questions like, "Can I stack ZMA with deca?' (Seriously) They worship two people who are nothing but supplement salesmen -- one of which gives advice on growing muscle, yet admits he doesn't work out! (???) They would be laughed off this board. At first I tried to reason wih them but realizing it was futile I just started fucking with them -- doing and saying anything just to annoy them. Of course I knew they know that alter ego was me! : ) You can see that the registration was brand new! Maybe it wasn't cool but I had such contempt at that point I didn't care and was playing around. I dont consider that board significant and don't take them seriously. But breaking balls can be fun sometimes. :)

Protein factory is not a true suppliment company that tries to scam you with crap and then overcharges for it. They custom make protien to your SPECIFICATIONS (50% ion-exchange whey/50% calcium casientate with coca for flavor and splendora for sweatener for example) and a cheap price. They do not make claims about their product being the best, they just ask, "What do you want us to blend up for you." then make it, and do it at a reasonable price.

Thats a really good point. But, hasn't the quality of their supplements been called into question in the past after lab tests?

Hmmm, I'm not takin sides here, but from that BB.com crap and the lab tests (although I don't think that ANY product is flawless) it does provide some insight...

I don't read that board. So not familiar with what bb.com has said about anything. I've not had an issue with PF though. Their products seem to be what I order, in term of my blood glucose level, level of ketosis etc after using. So their whey isolates are clearly not high lactose concentrates or anything like that.
