need workout routine for beginner

i am a 23 year old female.. I want to lose some weight fast and safe.. dont have a whole lot of time to workout.. hard to get motivated.. can someone help me out with a routine that will be easy to stick with.. want to goto the gym around 3 days a week.. dont want to be in there to long.. please help..
 
thx for the help.. so you think i should lift weights.. i was thinking just cardio.. should i split my body parts up when lifting.. like chest and bis one day and so on..
 
OH MY!!! "Do you think I should lift weights?" HELL YA girl! If you want to lose bodyfat and tone you body that is the ONLY way you are going to do it. You can do cardio for hours and it will not give you the results you are looking for. Lifting weights is SO important. You are not going to get huge either...will not happen. I would get w/ a trainer for a week or so and just find someone to get you started in the right direction so you are doing things correctly and not wasting your time. you can get your spilt into a 3 day split..I do that now..w/ school and stuff I do not have time to be in the gym all the time.

Your diet is really the key...if you eat clean consistently you are gonna see results. 5-6 meals a day..I would do a search and go to the diet board..tons of info there on that.

Cardio is good to do..along w/ your diet and strength training. In the AM like Spatts said..you can also do some HIIT training..doing some sprint intervals etc.
