Need SOME HELP

mr.linky

New member
I along with a friend have just started a cycle of sust. 250 @ 500mg a wk:

Routine:
Monday:
Chest
ABS
Cardio

Tuesday:
Upper Back/Bi's
Cardio

Wednesday:
OFF

Thursday:
Shoulders/Tris
ABS
Cardio

Friday:
Legs/Lower Back

Sat. Sun.
OFF

My question is, do you think we are over training? I did alot of research today and have read alot about working out only 2 to 3 days a week. I thought about giving this a try but i figured i would ask you big guys first. Any help or advice would be great. If you need anymore info. on our size and or weight training i will add.

Thanks
Andru

hey bro, you should be fine, and not have to worry about over training on that split with the use of sus. i would say that you would even be fine with that split if you were staying natural. just make sure you are eating enough of the right foods, and getting enough rest.

yeah well how big are you and what are your goals?

from the looks of it you arent overtraining

I am 6'1" and 183lbs at 14% bf now (was 168lbs) been on for two 1/2 wks and my goal is to get up to about 195-205lbs

Partner is 5'10" at 154lbs at 8%bf now (was 143lbs) and wants to get up to about 165lbs.

We eat and eat and eat and eat and well.......EAT. We are both slim guys and he is extremely cut up compared to me who is slightly cut up. So we both just want to get some size and then bulk up all winter long.

If you need anymore info let me know. Thanks for all the help. Any suggestions on my routine?

I got all that intacted. We have been doing sets of 10, 8, and 6. While increasing the weight 5lbs sometimes 10lbs on each. Should we continue to do this or switch it up some?

Any more advice?

Andru

Id say possibly undertraining. Especially on the sustanon. Depends where your training is at currently, and on your recovery as well. The heavier you lift, and more sets you perform the more itll tax your recovery. Id go with a 5 day split personally. This is my current split, though it does change depending on how I feel:

Monday: Back and traps
Tuesday: off
Wednesday: off
Thursday: Chest (flat bench with some hammer strength presses, and flies)
Friday: Triceps and Biceps
Saturday: Legs
Sunday: Chest and speed bench (might hit incline work or machines)

Its best to customize your own split though, based on your recovery abilities. I hit all the smaller muscles like abs, forearms, rear delts, lower back and calves also, but not on any steady schedule. It can vary. Calves generally get hit once a week with legs, but sometimes get thrown in on another day. Reardelts usually once a week when I can fit them in. Abs and lower back is 3-4x a week. Forearms I dont train seperately anymore. I might use the COC grippers occasionally but thats about it.

Im sticking to my routine for a while and then im going to switch it up.

Today we did chest, due to us both getting sick (weather change sucks) we have missed a couple days together. So we both did some flat bench maxin' out.

Andru (ME): 335lbs 1 REP Weight: 187lbs

Mike (Partner): 285lbs 1 REP Weight: 146lbs

I think thats not to bad. My goal is to break into the 400 CLUB one day. But i don't see it happening with in the next yr or so.

Are you sure those bench max numbers aren't a little inflated? Benching 335lbsx1 by a guy that is 6'1", 187lbs, sounds pretty impressive to me. What are you, a powerlifter? Same goes for your buddy. Benching 285lbs at 146lbs BW is a very respectable lift. That's almost double bodyweight. Also, you don't sound like you train like a powerlifter from your set and rep structure and your knowledge of training seems a little in need. I'm sorry, but it sounds like a littel hyperbole to me. If not, congrats, I'm not hating, just something doesn't sound right imho.

with benches that high you obviously know your doing something right so dont act so naive. you know stuff.

That's what I was saying. I'm sorry, I've been lifting on and off for 10 years and I've seen and met alot of big and strong guys, and without fail I have not met a guy that was 6'1", "187lbs", that could bench 335lbs. Now if this guy is a powerlifter then I could believe it, or if he weighed +200lbs I would believe it, but I think these numbers are inflated. Most guys I have met that bench more than 315 are either over 200lbs and under 6' tall or less than 200lbs, but under 6' foot. The guys I have met that could bench more than 315lbs and were taller than 6' were some BIG dudes. I knew a guy that was 19 years old that was 6'3", 235lbs and he could bench about 335lbs. Another guy, a buddy of mine was 6'2", 240lbs solid, and her could bench 365lbs. He was solid muscle. I only bring it up because at 6'1", 187lbs, that's a small guy benching that much weight, and the leverages don't help. People seem to forget this is a forum in cyberspace and people do inflate numbers and measurements all the time. I just get annoyed when I see it. If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong, but I HIGHLY doubt that.

Hey bro - those are some good lifts for someone of your stature...plus, I'm assuming you have long arms, which make those lifts even more respectful.....answer me this, what does your post-cycle recovery look like? Diet? Please inform us all....

its the 6 foot part that throws it off for me. or even that weight at that size, fine, but im sure hed have alot more experience than hes acting like he has

I do have alot more experience and knowledge than i give myself. Im not a huge muscle guy but i have always been strong as hell. Shit man at 165lbs i got 315 once and 275 3 times. This is my second cylce that i have ever taken. And those numbers reflect me on my first cycle (Test cyp. 200). I was asked to join a couple powerlifting teams when i worked out at a place called Southside Barbell Club but i had to pass. Just not my thing!! All these old "HUGE GUYS" were around me when i got 315lbs and gave me the potential to get it. I have been working out NON STOP for almost 3 yrs. Yes i do have alot of knowledge, but im always looking for a different routine to try out. I know mine works well for me and my partner, but i just like to shock the muscles as much as i can.

About my #'s up above. I can guarntee it that they are not inflated or falsified in any manner. I am a very truthful person and i have no reason to lie to anyone on this site to make myself look better (look at my name for example). I have been called linky by some of the biggest guys at the gym and it drives me insane, and then when they see me bench flat or incline they are impressed and usually have a conversation with me. As a matter of fact a guy the other day when we were at the gym (GOLDS) asked me my weight and then made me get on the scale, after seeing what i benched, he made a big scene out of it and then complimented me on my achievement.

As for diet:

Meal 1
6 eggs
100g oatmeal
Piece of Fruit (usually banana)
Protein Shake (N large 2)

Meal 2
4oz turkey breast
2 slices whole grain bread

Meal 3
8oz skinless chicken breast
1/4 cup (precooked) brown rice
2oz Avocado

Meal 4
8oz low-fat cottage cheese (preworkout)

Meal 5 (postworkout)
Protien Shake (N Large 2)
-1 hr later-
8oz new york steak
8oz Baked Yams
5oz Broccoli

Meal 6
Protien Shake (N large 2)
-mixed with 2tbsp natural peanut butter-

I eat this 6 days a week and take one day, usually Saturday to Eat what ever i want.
Plus i drink alot on Saturday's (RUM AND COKE......UMMMMMMM)

I PROMISE THIS TO EVERYONE ON THIS SITE, THAT NONE OF MY #'S ARE "INFLATED". IF PEOPLE STILL DO NOT BELIEVE ME THAN I WILL TRY TO GET A VIDEO OF ME BENCHING HERE AT HOME. ALL THE WEIGHT I HAVE HERE IS 300LBS (NOT SURE ON HOW ACCURATE CONCRET WEIGHTS ARE BUT IT CAN BE DONE).

Thanks to everyone on there comments and help, even if no one believes me.

Judging by your diet and plan layout, you've obviously done your homework. Welcome to the board bro. You numbers just seem "out of the ordinary" for a guy your ht and wt. but it's definately possible. Props. Plus, your doses, compared to many, are on the low end, which is nice to see, given the results. What doe you pct look like?

What suprises me is you like the sugar and crap in NLarge. 6 whole eggs? what's 100g of oats, 1 cup precooked? My girlfriend eats 4oz of turkey breast...lol....I'm just f-ing with ya.....

Well I apologize for my previous posts. I'm not here to put anyone down or give anyone a bad name. That's some impressive lifting. Keep it up. :)

I can't count the endless nights i spend on this damn computer trying to find something new that worked for someone, and some new diet that helped them gain 10lbs here and 10lbs there. This is the best that has ever worked for me. The only thing i hate is WATER RETENTION. Oh well.

My PCT im just going to take Clomid. More than likely i plan on taking 100mg/day on week 9 and then decrease to 50mg/day on week 10. Hope that helps. But as for the food you asked about. The 6 eggs i usually just eat 5 Egg Whites and 1 yolk (sometimes 2 for flavor), 100g of OATMEAL (plain and bland, takes a while to get used to it. Sometimes ill throw a couple scoops of protien in with it for taste), 1 cup of precooked brown rice. As for NLarge 2, I LOVE IT. Yeah it has alot of sugar and bad carbs' and so forth but it works. Also i don't know how many people do this but i don't mix my shakes with water or milk. I mix mine with a liquid natural Egg white. I get mine through work for Dirt cheap, and its tasteless and odor less, and REAL HIGH in Protien. Anymore questions please feel free to ask.

Thanks for all the support guys.
