Need advice for intense training

Hi guys. I have been training for a few months and am about to begin some really intense training and want to get your opinion on what type of cycle to do. I am 185 LBS, 6'1" and about 18% BF.

I have done one cycle before. I hesitate to reveal all the details, as it would shock most newbies. But I know the old timers would probably know about it. I don't want to shock anyone. What the real hard core will do for muscle gains is often shocking the the less diligent.

Briefly let me just say I did a 12 week "second generation" cycle of TE (testo enanthate). I did not gain much off of it though. Perhaps my training partner, who got the gear , got ripped off with some bunk gear or something...?

Anyway, I use the machines twice a week. I make 2 rounds through all the stations. There is something like 10 stations - all the big muscle groups - pec dec, leg extension - all of them.

In a few weeks I am going to start some really intense training - doing an hour of yoga in addition to the weight training.

So what type of gear should I recommend my partner get, to "generation" with me?

Steroids + Pec dec, leg extensions and Yoga = Poor results :o

It sounds to me like you REALLY need to reconsider what you are doing with your training regimen :o

I totally agree here. You said youve been training for a few months now? You mean you have only been weight training for a few months? If that is true, you need to not even consider hitting the sauce. If you are looking to grow, you need to change the whole style in which you train. I would say if youre not even doing freeweights, dont even consider using. You should be doing heavy basic exercises with freeweights like: barbell squats, deadlifts, bench press, military press etc. I would say perhaps after a couple years of heavy training you could consider using AAS. If you use now you will be very disapointed with your results and end up screwing with your natural test levels for nothing.

Yep, he will ONLY end up learning how to run WITHOUT learning how to walk first :o

Well I will discuss it with my training partner. He really knows what he is doing and has explained cycles and steroids to me ad infinitum. Casey Viator only trained with Nautilus in the 80's and made great gains.

But obviously I am willing to do whatever it takes if I am willing to do a 2nd generation cycle. I mean I will do push ups, squat thrusts, sit ups, dynamic tension exercises ...whatever it takes.

With everything you have posted in these two posts of yours I would HIGHLY suggest you rethink using steroids...

They ARENT for someone at your apparent level :o

I think another problem you run into when you haven't been lifting very long is the inability to achieve enough intensity. You need to condition your body to handle heavy freeweights. You also really need to find out what exercises and rep schemes work best for you. If you take steroids during this learning period you will not achieve optimal results. Buy a book or two on bodybuilding, Arnold's is pretty good, and read up. You must also be aware of what post cylce therapy is, how to cylce what youll be using etc. If you do not take them properly, you will end up right where you started a few months after the cylce is complete. ONly thing is now your test levels will be lower than when you started.

Yoga is one of the most beneficial parts of my program.

Just a few physical benes of Ashtanga yoga:

* Fascial Stretching (promotes MGF & IGF)
* endorphin release
* cardiovascular conditioning (increase RBC, thyroid output, et c)
* Down dog will condition your tibia like nothing else
* better posture
* lower cortisol
* better core conditioning - like Pilates

Rohud, you might need to adjust your sleep and diet a bit. Conditioning is great. For your intense training, go for the big lifts like OHP, DL, Bench. These lifts put on the most muscle for me.

Oh, and I don't think you're ready for gear.

You might try to give yourself a goal and let gear be the reward. Say like :
"I'm gonna hold of on gear until I lose 15lb fat and gain 15lb muscle. That'd put you at a little under 10% at 185lbs, which is not too bad, even considering your height.

I could do it without juice.

Don't do steroids unless you are physically ready and mentally ready. I go to the gym every day of the week and train each muscle group twice a week. Out of every excersize I do, I use.....4 machines. Pec fly, Pull down, seated cable row and tricep pushdowns on the double cable machine. Everything else is free weights. You need to be doing high intensity free weights before you even consider roids, not even considering you've only been doing it for "a few months". Check out www.exrx.net, it has about every excersize there is and will help you get started planning a FREE WEIGHT LIFTING REGIMEN. Here is what I do on different days for example...

M: Chest, Triceps
T: Shoulders, Biceps, Abs
W: Back, Legs
R: Chest, Triceps
F: Shoulders, Biceps, Abs
S: Back, Legs
Su: This is my off day, but I still go to the gym. I get in the hot tub usually! Cardio is always on Sundays.

So you don't think lack of results is because of using the second generation method with phoney gear?

boss... lack of results is from u not training correctly.. no amount of gear in the world is gonna make the gains come if ur doing circuit training on a bunch of those machines for the old ladies. That simple.

Darn straight. The yoga guys are always so big and ripped.

Adjust my sleep. How do you know how much I sleep?

I hear what you all are saying - but I think if my partner bumps his use up to maybe 1,500 mg of testo per week, then via 2nd generation I will no doubt grow like a huge mofo yoga dude

What in the Hell did I just read? He works our on the Machines going from station to station ??? like the old momen?
And he has done a cycle that would scar most newbies??
ok I am out of here

How do you know it would scar most newbies? Dude you don't even know what a second generation cycle is. Its as old a secret as eating babyfood for protein, or dynamic tension, or air gulping for rib cage expansion. The greats grew on these old hidden secrets. Its not for the light hearted

well learn to quote :) and yes your are right i am a little skinny guy doing machines like you. I have only been lifting a week..
.....oh and good luck with the baby food.

Bro, I think you need to learn how to work out and train first. Get someone to teach you some Olympic lifts (Squat, Clean, Jerk, Bench Press) and free weight work. Learn how your body reacts to what training. Generally most people do not learn how their own body reacts to certain exercise for many many years. I have been weight training for over 10 years and I still do not have it all figured out. I think you need to consider getting a trainer to teach you how to work out and learn your own body before you get gear into the equation. I mean, gear will always help, but you won't get optimum gains if you aren't training the right way, and if you aren't getting those gains you are simply wasting your money. Good luck to you.....PM me and I'll be glad to send you some of my old workout regimens.

If machines are all you use, heck I cant even get a workout on most of the machines at my gym because the stacks dont go heavy enough. I do some machine work, but only after I have completely fatigued the muscle with heavy freeweights. Machines work well for giant sets too.

Hey guys, my partner is very experienced and caring. He is old school.

He was kind enough to share with me the secrets of how to "second generation" anabolics.

Okay I may drop the weight machines since you all advise against it.

So my revised high intensity training is now plan to be : Yoga 3 days per week, Pilates 2 days per week.

I am also thinking of "second generation"ing some Deca and Testo

One of these days I am going to stop coming by here :o

I just cant keep up with all the BS this board has on it all the time

I read alot, although I never post, and thought I knew alot but...

Does anyone know what the hell he means by "second generation" or "second generationing"????

I hesitate to describe it. I doubt there are any people on here serious enough to know of this sort of thing, and if there are - they are probably keeping their mouths shut. There are some things you just don't talk about in public since the average person just does not understand. But the serious BB'er will go to great lengths to get the ideal physique.
