Hey guys so I'm gona log my whole road to my second comp and second try at taking the INBA Mr.LA I got 3rd last year and competed at 205 will post pics from that comp I had never done a off season diet before this year my diet was done by IFBB pro Alex azarian and I have to say it worked wonders I have always put muscle on really easy so this sent it over the top I weigh a lean 260 bf% at like 10% measurements: arms 21in / legs 30in / chest 55in / waist 34in. I have been lifting for 4.5 years now and I am 6ft2-3in tall and I have tried every kind of training there is and I have got a mix of them per say that works best for me but all critique and recommendations are very welcome I am not one to think I have it perfect and I know to learn from people who have been in it far longer then me

Ok guys here we go legs day #2 this week : leg extensions-250lbs 3sets 20reps (squeeze at top of rep slow down negative)

Seated ham curls-250lbs 3sets 20reps (same as above) got a nargly crap after last set lol

Standing ham curls-160lbs 2sets 10reps

BB Squats- set1:315lbs 15reps (pause in the hole)

Set2:405lbs 12reps (pause in the hole last 2)

Set3:495lbs 8reps (normally get 10 but wanted the extra energy for a extra few last set )

Set4:585lbs 10 total reps (first 5 full reps last 5 half reps )

Leg press:1000lbs 15reps

Set2:1200lbs 12reps

Set3:1500lbs 10 reps

BB Lunges: 100lbs 3x20steps

There we go and as far as diet: meal1 Adkins bar:15g protein 4carbs
5 bacon strips 4 sausage paties 3 1/2in cheese slices
1 1/2cups of oats

Meal2: 2 6oz. Pork chops salad with ranch dressing
Sweet potato with butter

Meal3: 2 6oz. Pork chops sweet potato
3 peices of slice cheese
4 heaping spoons it natty peanut butter

Meal4: 2 4oz. Chicken breast
2cups brown rice with butter
Small salad

Meal5:4 6oz. Pork chop (I ate the forth because my gf wasn't hungry and she said I was looking think lol)
Sweet potato

Meal6: 2 6oz. Pork chop 6 aspaurigus spears(can u tell we bought a whole half a pig hahaha I normally don't eat this much pork)

Meal7:post work out meal protein shake low carb tortias and home made salsa protein bar and 1 pork chop 1cup oats

Meal8: before bed meal shake 2 half cup oats Atkins bar 2

I forgot to keep track of protein fat and carb count today sorry I was distracted by my lady lol she has been starved for attention because I work and train so much

I actually normally go to 600lbs at least on squat but I'm sick right now. Also forgot to add in I had at least 6pots of coffee lol I love coffee

Set3-145lbs 10 reps

Incline flys:

Set1-45lbs 15reps

Set4-85lbs 8reps

Cable cross overs: 3 sets 20 reps 100lbs

Dips with body weight: 3 sets till failure

Tris:

Under handed cable tricep extensions: set1-75lbs 20reps (this is done with one hand at a time)

Set2-85lbs 15reps

Set3-95lbs 12reps

Over handed cable tricep extensions:

Set1-85lbs 20 reps

Set2-95lbs 15reps

Set3-105lbs 12reps

Skull crushers:

Set1-135lbs 20 reps

Set2-145lbs 15 reps

Set3-155lbs 10 reps

Close grip bench press:

Set1-225lbs 10reps

Set2-275lbs 8reps

Set3-315lbs 4reps

From a kinetics/phsyo point of view I hate leg extensions. Have you considered front squats as a replacement? Leg extensions are so terrible for your patellas.

Wide cable pull downs-
Set1:250lbs 15reps

Set2:300lbs 12reps

Set3:300lbs 10reps

Close under hand pull downs-
Set1:300lbs 12reps

Set2:300lbs 10reps

Set3:300lbs 8reps

Set1:300lbs 15reps

Set2:300lbs 12reps

Set3: (I unlocked the beast at this point and my training partner said if I didn't get 15reps I wasn't a man so.....I hit 20reps with 300lbs


Close under handed pull ups 2 sets 10 reps

Biceps:

Hammer preacher curls-
Set1:45lbs 10reps

Set2:55lbs 8reps

Standing db curls-
Set1:65lbs 15reps

Set2:35lbs burn out

Reverse cable curls 2 sets 65lbs till failure

That's today's work out and diet was perfect today had bout 500+ g of protein and 2-300g of clean carbs fat was at like 200g as well

That's the great thing about training partners they help you push past what you may have thought your limits were. Man I got to get one of those. looking good bro!

How do you hold it? Crossed arms resting on delts mostly or in the clean position? I tried it the first cause thats how i saw it down in all the magazines and youtube vids,etc. But i find the clean position to be good just sometimes tight on the wrists.

Well crossed arms I know it's wrong but my writs physically can't stretch far enough for the clean position so idk

You might try this bro.

Grab the bar overhand like your gonna curl it. You can try hands close in or out just past your shoulders.
Then get the bar on your front delts.
This works pretty well for me.
I dont like the crossed arm position as I alwasy feel like Im gonna drop the dam thing.
This feels secure and mostly comfortable for me.
Try it and let me know.

Do back squats hurt your knees bro?
 
Ok last night I slayed my chest and tris

Volume Chest:

Incline db bench - 75lbs 15reps(pause in the hole and negative each rep squeeze at the top of rep)

85lbs 12reps

125lbs 15reps (last 6 forced reps)

Hammer strength incline close grip for upper middle pectoral-225lbs 15reps

275lbs 12reps

315lbs 10reps

Cable cross overs-150lbs 15reps 3sets

Dips- body weight till failure 3 sets

Tris:

Underhanded cable push downs(these are with one hand at a time)- 85lbs 15reps
95lbs 12reps

115lbs 10 reps

Over handed push downs one handed-95lbs 15 reps

115lbs 12reps

150lbs 8 reps(yes I know that is a lot of weight for one arm at a time and I was pumped I could do it with good form)

Burn out with rope and bar push downs 2 hands 150lbs till failure 2 sets each

There we go that's tris I normally do dips but I strained a pectoral muscle a bit and didn't want to make It worse

I'm doing arms later today - getting pumped just thinking about it now - LOL BTW - did 4 sets of squats last nite (it was shoulder nite but decided to push my quads toward some growth.) 8 x 135; 8x225; 6x275; 8x275! so I got a little closer to 3 plates! but my knees were screaming!

Ok I had to study so I decided since I couldn't all out train I would make the little time I had count I did dead lift I haven't done it in a year so it was insane side note I haven't ever hit more then a 555 dead when I was training for it so this day shocked me lol

Deads :

315lbs warm up 20 reps

405lbs -12reps

500lbs-8reps

Rested 5mins and then

600 PR!!! 1 rep this blew my mind and everything else for that matter I crawled out of the gym

Did this all by feel today no structure just on what felt right

Ok sorry all totally fell off the edge of the world for a bit had a lot going on with work in getting married and I got a horrible infection and I have fully recovered now


Now on to the review of needtogetaas igf product which I sincerely apologize I never logged I got sick but here it is I love it I leaned out a good bit which I sadly gained back being sick and eating like a dirty hoe lol and I also felt stronger in all of my lifts mainly in my chest for some reason wish I had pics but my pics got erased darn iPhone lol but I'm back on track I'm shooting to get on track for a npc show in June and the a inba natty show for next year some time too new log and new pics soon also here is a good one of my engagement pics also I got some Toms and the pic really shows the arm growth
