This is a sad situation to come back to. I'm not surprised unfortunately, I was watching fucking MTV yesterday 10/19 6:00pm and the had some dumb little fag that was getting prepared to do his first cycle and announcing that he's waiting for his package to come in, WTF. I went through hell back in the day to find my source, refs, etc etc. now you here about the shit everywhere, WTF :rolleyes:
but what's even funnier to me is that, I heard of a big pharmacy bust up in NYC Lorenzo or something like that. 32 billion they estimated, they supplied athletes and the NYC LE. They said the LE will be disciplined within, WTF. They tap themselves on the hand yet hang us :rolleyes: How much longer are we gonna let them over throw us, I wonder...this is getting past ridiculous, there are people that could actually use there attention! I'm from around new orleans (murder capital of the country) and there worrying about busting prostitutes off of craigslist :rolleyes: sorry for the rambling, just outraged this bullshit is even happing, if any knows whats up with ret please let a brother know. I know I'm about tired of all this BS and about to just find a doctor that agrees I need hormone therapy.......peace

i can not find the post, i wish i would have posted it when i read it instead of just making a post elaborating on it.
with or without the post, ret was very open about his business. he had no sense of anonymity whatsoever, yet i still remain optimistic. there were no mentions of Russia, or Russian federation in any of the articles about raw deal. why would they leave that out? they had no problem mentioning every country that cooperated with the feds. this bust involved US based labs, and powder suppliers from china. i saw no names (of people) on any of the lists that i saw or articles that i read that would lead me to believe that the any of the people mentioned were of russian descent. my guess is that what i read about his remailers was true, and that he did in fact, out of paranoia, retire. why isn't he answering e-mails? the feds just admitted that they have been clogging up our message boards for the past two years, making orders, starting relationships with sources and board members alike. if i were in ret's shoes, i would have felt the heat as well, and crawled back into my hole, cutting off everyone in our community, trusting no one until i felt i was safe .
if ret wasn't busted and did indeed retire, i consider that an incredibly intelligent decision on his part. there are still a few big name sources out there still doing their thing, and those of us with connections to these sources are extremely happy about the fact that there is still gear available to us, but the truth of the matter is that they are honestly pushing their luck. this is why i respect the decision of any source to retire right now. if rawdeal part 2 ever hits the theater, you won't see rets name in the credits

October 13, 2007 -- With former Sen. George Mitchell's report on steroids in baseball expected to be released in the next two months, a conference call with all 30 major league teams was held yesterday to prepare them for what is coming.
According to a report on ESPN.com, some officials came away from the call believing the report would contain bombshell names, many of which haven't been linked to steroids before.

Tom Carlucci, a lawyer for Major League Baseball, conducted the call yesterday and, according to the report, told team representatives the report is going to be "salacious."

Reached by phone last night, Carlucci declined to comment.

Carlucci, part of the San Francisco-based firm of Foley and Lardner, originally was part of Mitchell's investigation team and was present when Commissioner Bud Selig announced the probe in March 2006. Carlucci's duties changed shortly after the investigation began. Now he functions as a liaison between the teams and Mitchell's group.

An unidentified source told ESPN.com, "This is going to be enormous . . . it's going to be a huge story when these names come out."

MLB vice president Rob Manfred, asked about the call by the Web site, minimized the significance of the call. He said Carlucci does not even know specifically what has been uncovered by the Mitchell investigation. Manfred said the purpose of the call was to prepare teams for planning purposes. Teams were told that the number of players who will be named will be "more than a handful."

The report is expected sometime between the end of the World Series and the end of the calendar year.

There is concern around baseball what standard of proof Mitchell will use before including a player's name. It seems that will be left up to Mitchell, and teams probably will not get a look at the report before it is released publicly.

Mitchell has been stonewalled by players. Yankees designated hitter Jason Giambi is the only player known to have spoken with the investigators, and that came after being threatened by Selig.

Investigators have interviewed many team employees, and also gotten cooperation from the steroid probe in Albany, and federal prosecutors forced confessed steroid dealer Kirk Radomski to cooperate with Mitchell as part of his plea deal.

Apparently, even today the two most popular questions that are STILL being asked are :

#1 Can you provide a complete list of the sources/labs busted?
#2 Is so and so ok and good to go?

Dudes if you have read any part of this thread by now you would realize that no one can provide you with the answers to each. What? You want me to take a guess. You want to risk being hassled by the po-pos on down the road because you asked an anonymous guy (me) on the internet who was good to go and I give you an answer off the top of my head despite posting multiple times that I didn't know? If you want to do that, fine. But the only person that is taking the risk of my guess is you.

Doesn't sound very smart does it? And it shouldn't.

The thing is, out of 50+ labs and 100+ sources that were claimed to be nailed, no one can name that many. There isn't 50 on this thread named. And 90% of those that are named are just guesses and speculation. The names on the indictments are very little when you actually count them.

Even people who are NOT listed on the indictments or the list here have vanished and gone into hiding. Or were they busted too? No one knows.

There is nothing that I wish I could post right now other than a definite list of who went down. I wish I had a 100% accurate list to share with you guys. But the LE forgot to send me that memo. So I don't have it and I can't answer it. No matter how many times you ask, the answer I have is still the same = I don't know.

I am just like the rest of you, waiting on other people of our community to find some FACTUAL info and share with the rest of us. Sorry if some of you don't think I am doing enough from my end regarding this.

you don't have to prove it bro, my friend got a letter from them (le louisiana) seizing his money that he sent to ap, that if he wanted to fight his money he could... it's called forfeiture or some sht like that. but the good thing is that my friend had a fake name on the mail box he was renting so no worries for him... supposedly that they wanted to go after the buyers but I really really doubt it.

It's enough to make me go Natty for now. The guy I knew said he's closing out, so hurry before it's gone. I stayed clear for obvious reasons, but the weird thing is since then I have been getting calls from Utah- I don't answer and there's no message on the voice mail- just dead silence and then hanging up- like a dozen calls the past week, and I've never called the dude before and I know of no one in Utah. Maybe it's just a strange coincidence, but something seems amiss.

amen brotha. Lets face it the only certain thing about the law is that it is plausible. It depends were you are and what exactly your doin who you know and how much pussy the judge got in the last month. we aren't professional atheletes on here nor are we drug trafficers. it is possible that they could find a way to link all of us to some conspiracy to purchase charge, however the question is will the gov. expend that much time and money to round up some guy who MIGHT have a few vials of test under his mattress. prob. not. thats my .02 on the subject.

I stocked up a long time ago and homebrew. Otherwise I would go natty.

International sources will always be an option though. The feds can't reach every nation on this planet.

There are list's at many boards of the labs that were busted. This is the only board that seems to think if you don't mention names the sneaky feds won't know about ya,stupid.
 
Given America's relationship with Russia, I just don't see the Bear getting popped by the DEA. If their people shut him down it'd be because he failed to grease the propper Russian wheels.
I don't take the word of people with a vested intrest in Balkin to seriously.

Seriously I used to get training advice from him all the time, he was very knowledgable and in fantastic shape. I would love to know what happened to him, one blog isn't going to make me believe it, I kinda need some proof from someone that really knows him.

I was also thinking that, these labs may have also recieved powders themselves directly from China? Basically looks like a list of second tier sources at best to me. Hell, Tweak didnt even sell legit gear. His stuff tested bunk. Must have kept the good stuff for himself and his cronnies.

its well known that anthony roberts, or anthony connors has a few personal issues with the bear.. alot of people did. i read his blog, and the first line made it seem that AR was 100% positive that he was busted, only to read the last line to find that it's his understanding, which makes it all speculation. there were no talks of russian federation (former Russia) anywhere in the thousands of raw deal posts. an indictment can be produced for just about every busted source. where's The Bear's indictment at? until i see it, i refuse to believe it. every country involved in Raw Deal was happily mentioned in the articles...did all of the news and LE agencies just so happen to conveniently forget to mention Russia? not a chance in hell. For russia to cooperate with the USA on anything would be absolutely groundbreaking news.
i know with all of the hype surrounding this most recent bust it's easy to believe everything that anyone says, and their words will be spread around these rumor mill boards faster than the wild fires that are ravaging SoCal right now. although AR's wishes, maybe AR's only wish, was to see Ret busted, i highly doubt there is a speck of truth to that blog. it's all speculation and will remain as such until his sources can be cited. Don't believe the hype. my source was proven busted too, but three of my friends, and fellow posters here have received packs from him. go figure. By the thread title, it seems there would be a list. There was a list before someone deleted 300 posts a few days after the thread started. Other than that, I personally don't have a list.
 
AR generally has good info. The problem is that he always says, "I've known about XXX for a while but didn't think it was important." It would be nice for him to just lay it out there and let us know when he knows. I have had several phone chats with him and I think he is a great guy, on a personal level.

And as far as the Bear... How the F@# do you guys really know where he was based? Because he showed pictures of him in Russia, or he said he was there.. The one thing that I have learned from these busts is that not all is as it appears in this scene. Currently, my IP address says that I am posting from Denmark. I sure as hell ain't there.

Even funnier is that two days before all of these busts, there were posts by people saying " XXXX is solid". "SSB has the best mod staff"..... "THere have been no compromised mods....etc" What I realized is most of us dont know Jack sh@#. But, people post as if they are informed. This is dangerous. The irony is that while all of these people were vouched for as safe and "GTG", they were already cooperating with LE.
You all must know that there is LE posting as a "good bro" on this board, engraciating themselves to the mods and acting as if they are a Vet.....

My suggestion: Listen to those that have been here for years, including a truly good mod staff and admin.

If someone has been here for less than two years and you take a single thing they say as gospel, then you deserve whatever outcome presents itself. I just say be wary of those who havent proven themselves to you.

That makes sense. They can track where a pack comes from by postmark and use surveillance. Figured Ret was safe in Russia. Sucks to see him go, for sure.
