try this: deads then db rows then chins then cable rows, not even sure what a lying row is this will help you put on size, and please give some info on this mystery leg workout, i'm just a little confused

Forget if workout if good for mass or not bro, this game is 90% diet................ask yourself, Is my diet good for mass..............

To get back to the ? at hand, not squatting/doing legs will get you no-where........

yep i know what you mean. i know i need to up the carbs for gaining mass but
like i said i wanna shift these couple of pounds around the gut so thats why i aint
high on the carbs and thats the reason for all the cardio. how else am i gonna get
rid of em? my protein intake is bang on i think at 250-300g a day and thats enough
as any more i eat im gonna shit out it all out as not all of it gets used for muscle building right? my aim is to shift these 2 pounds or so and then bulk as fuck bulking
yet as i need to get my bf down first and ill be much happier this way. the last
2 pounds or so is definately the hardest to shift and i think id find it harder to cut
after a big bulk cyle rather than now. i know id make great gains from upping the carbs
but again i would put i slight amount of fat on i guess and what i want do is get
rid of that fat not put any more on.
my leg workout consists of curls, extentions and squats so i aint missin much there
as like i said my legs are growing much faster where as i want my upper body to
make gains quicker than the legs. can this be done?

Sounds good. Ive been making gains off of 200 grams a day. I used to go for alot more, but am finding I can gain off of less then expected. Its being consistent that seems to be key for me. Making sure I get atleast 200 everyday and not skipping meals. I also have an inside source you could say. My uncle who was 280lbs at 12% bodyfat with 23 inch arms, at his peak, tells me he maintained around 300 grams of protein at that time. Says he didnt go much past that. He wasnt natural though, to get to that point. Still, this shows me that 600 grams of protein daily isnt necessary and really, when I take too much I notice I just shit and piss it out anyway. We have similiar shape genetics. I got alot of that misinformation from when I used to read magazines, which are looking to sell protein powders and supps. I try to get more calories and carbs when possible too. If I eat a pure protein diet Ill lose muscle. You have to experiment and find what works best for you. Ideally, Id like to maintain 250-300 grams also. Its comes down to money for me right now. 200 grams is still working though. You can definately gain mass on the upper body to the point of dwarfing your legs. Look at me. :FRlol: :FRlol: My legs finally hit 26" at the very top, so its not as bad as it was. They get more and more narrow as you get closer to the knee though. My legs are 17-17.5" just above the kneecap. haha My arms are 18.5 and 18.25" cold. So my arms are bigger then parts of my legs. Best of luck with the diet!

thanks bro! experimenting is gotta be the only way to get the most outta your training. if the diet is good for your goals and your training schedule
and routine is the best it can be then good gains should come along with that
otherwise something aint right somewhere. i think not eating after 6-7 o,clock
has helped along with the morning cardio to fight the remaining areas of fat.
another thing is that im wanting to much in too little time. who doesnt?
i think i should be gaining more muscle than i am but i understand im wrong
and that it takes a while to notice good development in your body. possibly
its that tiny layer of fat covering it thats making me believe im doing somet
wrong but its patience and consistency like you mentioned and if i keep
up the cardio than im sure after several more weeks ill notice the bf is dropping and im getting that more defined look.

i think the problem here is my patience. i must realise that its gonna take
longer than i think and hope.

thanks for your advice.

nice stats!!! keep up the good work.

No problem brother!! And thanX! Yes, patience can be the hardest part. Then when you finally reach a long awaited goal, if youre like me, it doesnt seem like much anymore. Its a constant progress. Still, I feel much better about my size then when I started lifting. Youll reach your goals aslong as you can stay patient and consistent. That small layer of fat can be decieving, but I think youd be surprised if you got leaner. Theres plenty of posters and advice on here to guide you through the process though. Dont be afraid to ask questions. Keep us updated!!

patience is my problem. i know!! its gonna take time! just wanna
look my best for my big holiday in feb. im sure the gains will come in time thanks for the good advice. you guys are a great help and inspiration.

thanks.

ill keep you posted.
