no letterman, since I didn't had ID i had to leave earlier to get to the airport.

I went to the Empire state building, just didn't go up it.

Went the the natural science museum and the gugenheim as well as www.cosm.org (Alex Grey).

And I knew a lot about where I was going, but in most cases I just played things by ear.. had a general plan for the day.. but then just went off how i felt.. for instance one day on the way to the MET.. we decided to just head south to Chinatown..

hotel runs about $150-200 a night.. 5 nights. flight was $300-400... then food.. $50-100 per day... then random shit like paying to get into museums and buying knockoff leather goods on the street.

I hear ya... I thru taking expensive vacation... I should say going on vacation to expensive places. I took my kid to "Sesame Place" for a weekend and that shit set me back a few hundred for only two days...
For $2,000usd I can visit any Third World country for a month and party until I'm so burned out I want to come back to work, and still not have spent the 2k...

I might be going to Thailand some time next year (Spring) any of you guys want to come with me?

Congrats on having a great trip - Sorry about the wallet - Didnt think that stuff still happened here - seems like you got a giid taste of all areas/people etc.

One thing DO NOT WEAR THOSE SUNGLASSES - Fake ones are NO NO-s they have protection so the shade allows your pupils to open and wind up allowing more damaging rays to hit your eye - And plus all that canal street stuff just sends money to terriost and human traffickers etc
