My manager just casually gave me my resignation papers.

If it wasn't the job of your dreams I would just look at it as an opportunity for a better job. How ever don't forget the experience and don't let someone put you in the same position again.

Good Luck :)

In sales you don't get as many opportunities to *do better*. Many companies it is sink or swim, has nothing to do with your work ethic necessarily.

Use Gonelifting's advice and look on this as a POSITIVE OPPORTNITY. No need to overthink it. Just look at it this way, "The company/this position and I were just not a fit for one another..... NEXT!"

I know it is easy for me to say, but similar circumstances have befallen me and every single time it was an incredible blessing in disguise.

That's for the positive re-enforcement BM! :)

I will def. stay motivated and will look for a better job. I think it's time for me to move out of sales.

Thank you for the advice.

i would contact the EEOC (equal employment oppertunity comission)..your tax dollars pay for it's services for you.

public or private company?? make sure you apply of unemployment right away.. doesn't matter if you need/want it.. it will hurt them.. cause their premiums to go up more..

I feel for ya, Traz.....I was "fired" in June, after being the top salesman in the company the month B4, not just the NJ office, the WHOLE company....Saw it comin, too, but I still have a scar from when I removed the knife from my back....

On the good note, I now have 2 banks throwing down to get me. You'll move on AND UP before you know it.....

Bro, in my opinion - it is in your best interest at this point, you have more to offer them than they will ever give you credit for. Move forward, don't look back and remember it is not a reflection on you, sometimes environments are not always a good fit.

Best wishes.
