I think if you lads are going to run gear, get blood work done BEFORE, so you have a base line to know what is normal for you.
This not only applies to the lipids, but your natural testosterone, LH/FSH levels as well.
If you are concerned about cholesterol, there is no point in getting any blood work done until 3 months post cycle, this is how long it will take (minimum) to see any shift in your lipids levels after they have been altered due to AAS use.
Someone in this thread also expressed concern about an elevated CK (creatine kinase level).
Unless your CK is consistently elevated, this is not a big deal. It is NOT a good marker for heart damage, even CK-MB has been superceded by Troponin-T as a heart cell damage marker.
Elevated CK is more than likely a result of training. You do muscle cell damage while training, running.........and the CK enzyme is released into your blood stream.
Also elevated CK is more likely to implicate some sort of muscle disorder, some type of arthritis, rather than heart cell.
CK is only useful to check for heart damage if you measure it every 4-6 hours for 2 day post possible heart attack.
