Nothing to eat for breakfast? Unless you stay up late and sleep late you need breakfast, according to your post you go 17hrs. sometimes without anything to eat. That ain't good. Your body starts starvation mode and don't want to let go of the fat. At 7pm you have two chicken breast and sometimes have honey and oats later, how 'bout having one chicken breast and some oats at 7pm and later having another chicken breast. Also you may want to throw in some essential fatty acids such as fish oil, olive oil or flax oil.

Well, i work second shift, so i get in bed around 12-2am and get up by 10 or so. It seems to be working for me. I do not eat before i work out, only after. I am losing on average about 3/4lb per day right now.

Whats the deal with thes EFA's? Flax oil.... where else can you get them in normal foods?

Tuna fish in oil, some salad dressings. Monounsaturated and Polyunsaturated fats are considered efas but to get the Omega3 you need something like flax or fish oil. I'm not sure if tuna has Omega3 or not.

Regardless as to your work schedule (I work 12hr. rotating shift) you need to eat 5-6 meals a day never going more than 3.5 hrs without eating except for sleep. If you stay up till 2am then you need to eat again at 10:00 and 1:00.

If you are droping 3/4 lbs. a day your going to fast. If your droping 3/4 lbs. a week you are probably going to fast. Rapid weight loss = muscle loss most of the time. 1lb. of fat contains about 3500 calories, 1lb of muscle is about 500 calories. On the other hand muscle burns a whole lot more calories than fat. So wheather you are exercising to much or not eating enough, when your body sees it don't have the energy it needs to do what you ask it to do it wants to hold on to its most valuble source of energy (FAT) and get rid of what burns the most energy (MUSCLE). There is no boubt that you can get skinny like this but, do you want to be skinny or do you want to be lean.

I do not feel i am losing fat, i am losing inches in my waist, and it is coming off my face and i am starting to slim down. The workout i do right now just consists of Techno Gym Machines, i am not in to the free weights yet till i get my weight down to about 220 or so.... I have a really bad back to that i am afraid of hurting once i start to do free weights again... What do you think Rockaho

I have no way of knowing weather or not you are loseing muscle. The only real way is to have you body fat% tested now and again in a month from now and calculate the diffrence in lean muscle mass. Yes, I think it would be safer to start out on machines and build strength before going to free weights. Remember even with machine weights improper form can cause injury.

Good Luck.
