my beginner pics

dont get frustrated.. everyone has to start somewhere.. all those guys in the gym that are benching 300+ all at one point, more then likely, could only bench 70lbs..

ignore any shit from anyone and keep ure eyes on your goals.. when i first started lifting i was benching like 60lbs and got more shit then anyone but i will gaurantee now i can out bench any of those bastards now.. it won't come over night.. determination man!!
 
how old are you? Bench 70lbs?

Use dumbells too, dont measure your strength thru your bench.
 
im 17 and im benchin 100 now but i can only do it 2 times in about 8 sets i think because one time after about 8 sets i went to bench again n the bar got stuck on my chest

why are you doing 8 sets? do 3 or 4.. lower the weight and do more reps.. break down that muscle and it will grow when you are NOT lifting.. sleep builds muscles not lifting! but yes u do have to lift then sleep to get msucles not just sleep w/o lifting :rolleyes:

Try to not always "lock-out" your (elbow) arms when pressing up. You take focus away from your chest muscles when doing this. Keep them stressed.

I know some of your friends say you can eat junk food but listen to the folks here when they suggest against it. Anyone who has ever done any body building that is a horrible idea. You need quality calories. Diet will take a while to develope so start keeping a journal or at least mental notes of everything you eat. Your friend will learn that their fast food and junk will catch up to them. Only an extremely small percentage of people can eat like the average american and have a good body past their early 20's. Start doing things right while your young - or at least learn how.

Lower your weights so you can be in the 8-12 rep range. Then do 3-4 sets in that range for each exercise. Make sure you are doing those 8-12 reps comfortably - especially in the beginning. You want to practice excellent form.
